I'd say unblockable...
I mean, it makes more sense that a Skyrian soldier can fly and be more powerful when he's near a source of his magical affinity than to have him power up other soldiers.
Something that makes all other soldiers stronger would be an ability better suited for a general or something.
K-Army Guy: 2 attack?  Yay.  How often is this more useful than attacking?  Why not just make it 5 attack?
Skyrian Soldier: I don't have a problem with the +1/+1 per turn thing.  A theme deck built around it is just not that big a deal when all your creatures start at 12/12.  Boring and mildly effective, maybe.  But it's not like people will dominate the tourney scene with that deck.  That said, just giving it Crossroad-style "super sneaking" seems fine, too.  Target soldier gaining +1/+2 is pointless.  Seriously, think about how that plays out in a deck.
I agree with DK that a free +3/+3 ability on Kelar Citizen wouldn't be overpowered, but I'd just as soon go with the walking Neutral Charm idea.  Hell, how about you have to build an economy with them, and have them generate
![[Image: gmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/gmana.gif)
for each other Kelar Citizen or something?  Or maybe a 50% chance to generate
![[Image: gmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/gmana.gif)
for each other Citizen, if you think it's too much.
For Skyrian:
Go, go synergy. I'm for the third suggestion.
Before I comment I need to re-address a certain issue: stats.
We will be rebalancing all the 1 coster stats, so if your basing abilities on current 1 coster stats, your using a very poor basis.
K-Army Guy: Starsword Paladin-esc "monster loses 3 attack if damaged by K-Army Guy" sound like a good alternative? If this can be made so it doesn't apply to the tokens, 5 attack would be good.
Kelar Citizen: Conditioned generating was already shot down. Would +2/+3 for free be a good alternative if
![[Image: gmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/gmana.gif)
+3/+3 is considered too worthless?
Skyrian Soldier: Hard for me to choose. Given 2 of the 3 choices are dependent on type, how about a list of the monsters that are "soldier":
Actually, I'd perfer something like "
![[Image: abilitypointer.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/abilitypointer.gif)
![[Image: abilitydizzy.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/abilitydizzy.gif)
Soldier gets invisible attack until end turn"; but that'd be condensing it too much to fit. Oh well.
Suggestion 2 seems like it'd be the most useful.
URPGH:
2, not 1 or 3
Tamdrik:
2 or 3, not 1
Andriex:
3
Blue_Elite:
2
You know I made the mistake of not checking whether it fits again? Well, I'll have a look tonight, but hopefully it will with a little condensing. It takes four lines on
Crossroad, and we only have two, but it is fairly spaced out...
Whoops...
I'll vote for 3, with 1 as my second choice. I like the tribal idea much better than an unblockable small thing.
I still really don't see how an unblockable, yet still attackable, weenie is going to be helpful. Ever.
If there isn't enough space masa, I would think Sneaking: Light, Grey would be a good compromise (maybe too good even but Starship Blockade and vendor NPC are good examples of why you'd have this card in your deck).
My problem with the +1/+0 or +1/+1 per turn is that it takes ~3 turns to become significant for soldiers above 2 mana cost (not counting Ensign Redshirt). Really, considering my worry was about 1 mana rush involves the attack value of the monster, +0/+3 per turn would be better than +1/+1 imo.
All right, we've at least eliminated number one out of those.

Let's consider the Sneaking ability only as an alternative to Greywalk, in the case that we decide that Greywalk takes up too much space.
err, why would it be able to sneak past light and grey and not dark?
Would you prefer to just give it Invisible Attack? The flavorful thing to do would be Sneaking: Dark OR Sneaking: Dark, Grey. However, Light and Grey tend to have the best walls, so I was hoping to go with the less flavorful/more useful alternative of Light and Grey. If we go with plan invisable attack, we're going to end up nerfing Skyrian's attack into the ground imo.

I agree with DK on this one.  Invisible Attack without Entrenching is way overrated on something this small. Heck, it would probably be acceptable at 15/15 Invisible Attack, come to think of it.

Thoughts?
Chronology aside, Skyrian Soldier looks to be extremely abuseable with Battery of Souls.
Interesting. I'm not sure Skyrian is much worse than BRA for BoS purposes though. No, wait, you can cast equip armor or whatever before using the ability. Yeah, okay, that gets silly fast. Skeleton makes me a little bit nervous--does dark rush need better fast mana? Great synergy with the latest donation card I must say. Gremlin is good fun. (It "really" has 18 attack, right?) K-army guy..."attacking directly" means attacking a monster, right? Hm. Also, what happens if it attacks directly then its target is removed? Does it still get the bonus?
no, attacking another monster is attacking another monster.
Attacking directly means attacking a player.
Well in that case the help file really ought to be updated--do a quick search for "directly" and you'll see what I mean. To adjust my question then: to receive the bonus is it sufficient simply to attack directly, or must the K-army Guy get through unblocked?
A quick fix for Skyrian:

Prevent next damage to be done to Skyrian

Prevent next damage to Skyrian" if the above one just barely doesn't fit.
Comparison used:
Side though important notes:
1. Do we still want to debate the new abilities or accept them (at least for now, there ARE other cards that need balancing)?
2. Do we still want to change the sac and stats or shall we wait along with note 1. and play with the new abilities a bit before decided on those 2 points (or even just accept the current stats/sac as they are)?
I still want to debate Kelar Citizen. I think it's still useless.
Agreed, this is the best quick fix I can think of:
End turn: Gains temp life equal to number of effects x 2 until draw phase.
(max 20 temp life, had to include opponent's effects as this much text is pushing it let alone adding "you control").
The comparison (admittedly not good and used only for stats):
Basically a defense against ability'd 3 costers or weaker.
