I'm not used to this forum set up Icon_sad
WAHHHH

RE: End of an era - 'Joyd - 12-22-2004 05:11 PM

You know what this feels like? There was some kind of plane crash, and everyone's sort of crawling out of the wreckage, and it's like, "Hey! It's that guy! He's okay! And him! He's okay too! Well, as okay as he ever was... Oh! it's that guy!" Corny, I know. That's what it reminds me of.

EDIT: What does the "reputation" thing under our avatars do? I added to Webby's to see how it worked. I hope that I didn't do something wrong or anything. Nothing seemed to change, though. Is it a measure of a member's standing, as rated by the others? It seems like that has some potential to be abused, either in an "You up me and I'll up you" fashion, or for vengence.

I'm not complaining, I'm crying.

RE: End of an era - shaventalz - 12-22-2004 05:21 PM

Too bad about this happening.

Actually, I feel the same way, except I view it more as a house that burned down with all our belonging in it. Okay, so it was a really big house with a really dysfunctional family living in it, and the contents could be best described as "eccentric", but that's still what it feels like to me. Don't judge me...
Anyway, as for the old RP's and such, I think it would be better to start over rather than keep going (I know there were some great RP's going...Anime High, Army of K.H.R.I.M.A., Sadistic Christmas, others...not to mention the spam), but picking them up where they left off like nothing happened would be like trying to save the futon when half of is was burnt to a crisp (going back to the burned house analogy)...it's probably just more trouble than it's worth.
We will rebuild, that's a fact; if I know my fellow members, they are too tenacious and strong-willed to let something as great as this die on account of a terrible accident. Well, I know I am at any rate.

Bravo! With forumites like this, we can rebuild the forum. We can make it faster... stronger... funnier... better.

RE: End of an era - moriastar - 12-22-2004 07:03 PM

Well as far as the rps go...

Things like Anime high.. well anime high we RELLY need to fast forward things anyway. We could simply do a "few months later" bit with flash backs (cause they are fun) to explain what happend. It was getting so long we were probly at a point where we could jsut smooth thigns out and ahve things and people plot and plan.

At least I think this can work.

RE: End of an era - Astral Dragon - 12-22-2004 07:42 PM

I must say I like Dargon and Smegs and Mori-chans attitudes! Pick up where we left off!

But I still mourn the passing of the old forum. I hope everyone comes back...

RE: End of an era - Draycon - 12-22-2004 10:23 PM

Just newbs like me will be on the same level

RE: End of an era - Arsonic - 12-22-2004 10:28 PM

I'm curious... isn't this the fifth set of forums webby has used?

RE: End of an era - shaventalz - 12-22-2004 10:31 PM

Yup. Four crashes now.

RE: End of an era - Milo - 12-22-2004 10:32 PM

At least the last times the forums were abandoned, the old threads were still left online for anyone who wants to take a peek back.

RE: End of an era - Aegof - 12-22-2004 10:34 PM

Four crashes?

Odd.

Because, as I recall, the first two moves from Network 54 and then from EzBoard were because Webby felt like moving, not because of crashes.

Then the boards started crashing.

RE: End of an era - shaventalz - 12-22-2004 10:47 PM

Excuse me, four moves. *smacks self*
