RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - masamunemaniac - 03-03-2012 02:49 AM On a completely random note: http://englishclass.jp/reading/topic/Antihero_for_Hire RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Bugle - 03-09-2012 01:22 AM That's some improvisation. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - masamunemaniac - 03-09-2012 05:54 AM You know I just figured, the flight might've been handy for scaling that wall, but how's Shadehawk planning to get back down on the other side? Also, he totally should've kept the Mace. Having superpowers would've made things a little easier back home (though probably less interesting to us readers). RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Bugle - 03-09-2012 06:58 AM Probably doesn't work in the states. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - masamunemaniac - 03-09-2012 07:08 AM Well, selling the Mace would've paid the rent for a while at least RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - webrunner - 03-09-2012 09:59 AM (03-09-2012 06:58 AM)Bugle Wrote: Probably doesn't work in the states. It was said as much before (Crown mentioned that his power doesn't extend beyond the wall) RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Darg - 03-10-2012 05:35 AM He still could have sold it back to Canada and paid the rent for a while. Well, as long as the exchange rate is good between dollars and maple leaves cause everyone knows that Canada uses maple leaves as currency in the future. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Loyle - 03-10-2012 11:26 AM Or Canada could invade Triumph City with Raptor Mounties to get it back instead of paying the ransom. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Darg - 03-12-2012 11:24 AM They'd never get the raptors over the wall; dinosaurs are terrible climbers. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - kyrtuck - 03-12-2012 02:53 PM Oh I wouldn't know about that. I saw Old Lace climb a skyscraper pretty well in a Runaways comic. It was the 1907 arc, written by Joss Whedon. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Milo - 03-12-2012 06:10 PM At some point a group of dinosaurs got really good at living in trees. We call them birds. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - kyrtuck - 03-13-2012 06:10 AM Well I call 'em boids. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Bugle - 03-13-2012 08:06 AM (03-12-2012 06:10 PM)Milo Wrote: At some point a group of dinosaurs got really good at living in trees. And birds of prey are called raptors. COINCIDENCE? RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Darg - 03-13-2012 10:09 AM (03-12-2012 06:10 PM)Milo Wrote: At some point a group of dinosaurs got really good at living in trees. I call them dinner. And not all birds can fly or live in trees. Ostriches, penguins, chickens, chocobos... No, wait, chocobos can fly. Scratch that... RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - masamunemaniac - 03-13-2012 10:13 AM Raptor is also one of the job classes for the dragon-esque lolis from FFTA2. RELEVANCE? No not really, I'm just being me. Also Frosty's lineart wasn't all black on this page. First time I'd noticed that. EDIT: Okay, I guess it's more relevant than I thought (or at least relevant to the segue), what with Darg sniping me with a separate reference to FF. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Bugle - 03-13-2012 11:06 PM You can be something other than you? ... >masa Boxcars be Ultros Droog. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Milo - 03-13-2012 11:12 PM That reminded me of an Eleni's Entertaining Exploits style command. Not so entertaining if nothing happens though. That sounds exactly like an Eleni's Entertaining Exploits style command. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Bugle - 03-14-2012 10:29 AM I was actually trying to reference this command. I wasn't as close as I would have liked. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - masamunemaniac - 03-14-2012 11:37 AM I really ought to read Homestuck at some point. I kinda stopped with MSPA at some point during the final boss fight (which was boring as hell and dragged on far too long; "epic" battles don't really work for graphical text adventures or whatever the genre is called) and never got started again when Homestuck happened. I also ought to get around to finishing FFT actually. I guess I'm too lazy to even procrastinate effectively. |
