RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Amanda Lynn - 03-14-2012 06:09 PM I never did finish FFT. I kept getting stuck at the same spot. I still have it (and my PSX) in the attic, so maybe one day, but who knows. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Loyle - 03-14-2012 07:47 PM You accidentally saved before the 1v1 fight with Wiglaf, and now you can't win? >_> I actually managed to beat FFT, but can't really remember much of anything past that point... RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Amanda Lynn - 03-14-2012 09:14 PM I remember it being a 1v1 with one of the cardinals. Dunno which one off hand. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Bugle - 03-14-2012 09:55 PM If you didn't like the final boss of Problem Slueth, I doubt you'd like Homestuck at all, honestly. The entire thing drags out. It's part of why I stopped reading it. The Midnight Crew intermission, though, is exceptional. Also, the official term seems to be "Quest" which I think is stupid, but it's stuck. A large portion of Quests are even named X Quest (e.g. Ruby Quest, Tezakia Quest, Hug Quest, etc). So yeah. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - masamunemaniac - 03-15-2012 05:27 AM Comics dragging out is probably less of an issue for archive binging than it is for reading them as they come out. And maybe if they don't revolve around a single bad idea that they stretch out for a hundred pages instead of maybe five. And maybe if they're a little less completely wacky- I don't really know much about Homestuck beside it having trolls that IM people, but I'm presuming that it doesn't have excessive comb raves and flipping the universe upside down and god clones of main characters and randomly switching the perspective to miniature people in what I can't remember whether it was a brothel or just a collection point for prostitution puns. But who knows, maybe I'll read it and hate it too. I just hope not. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - webrunner - 03-15-2012 07:57 AM Prequel (based on Oblivion) is a good one too. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - kyrtuck - 03-23-2012 10:41 PM Awww, I bet those two are gonna be a real hot (...er, cold?) couple. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - masamunemaniac - 03-30-2012 05:37 AM So, does Iago mimicing Shadehawk's expensive bullets also mimic Shadehawk's bankruptedness? Also strange how we seem to have traded more detailed backgrounds for tails that don't seem to fit their speech bubbles properly. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - kyrtuck - 03-30-2012 09:00 PM I don't understand how he mimics a handheld weapon at all. Shapeshifting can't cover something thats seperate from the guy shifting, can it? RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Loyle - 03-31-2012 02:23 AM He just loses mass with every bullet. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - masamunemaniac - 03-31-2012 07:56 AM Actually I'm now wondering why he bothered stealing Canadarm's arm when he could just mimic it. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Loyle - 03-31-2012 08:35 AM He probably just mimics their skill and appearance... not their equipment... So the Silver Arrow he's using is either the real one or a reverse engineered one. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - masamunemaniac - 03-31-2012 11:35 AM It's been explicitly stated that he can mimic technology though. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Loyle - 03-31-2012 12:39 PM Then he stole it to be a dick... He is sort of a dick... RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Bugle - 04-02-2012 12:08 PM This ending is even better than the end of ADV! You know, right after they beat Eternion? RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - masamunemaniac - 04-02-2012 04:50 PM I kind of feel like I've seen it before with Fanny though... RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - kyrtuck - 04-03-2012 03:39 PM Whoa, the artwork has made such incredible leaps and bounds in this one comic. I wish I could draw that good RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Milo - 04-03-2012 05:16 PM Actually, that's a good point. Why aren't there more superheroes who gained their powers by being shot? They're perfectly fine with getting superpowers from all sorts of other things that should kill you. RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - masamunemaniac - 04-04-2012 06:27 AM Well, are they being shot by radioactive bullets? RE: Phase 13.1: From Far and Wide; A Royal Beating (part one) - Bugle - 05-04-2012 02:23 AM The comic came back, Shadey came back, the villain probably won't come back... everything's coming up daisy. Also... Obligitory soundclip. |
