Hmm... after seeing several updates, I think Crossroad's limbs are just too spindly. It's kind of freaky.

Coldular's weaves icy homographs, near-homographs, and words-that-you-can-kind-of-see-where-he's-coming-from-but-really-aren't-homographs into his words. Occasionally they're homophones too, but for a lot of them you'd expect them to pretty awkward to articeulate as actual speech.
Crossroad used a straight up pun though, which is pretty different. If anything, it seems more like the kind of joke Shadehawk might make than The King of Ice.
