Actually THIS time there was a file error and the machine wasn't booting except for the rescue system. A file check fixed it up and we're on our way.

Well, it's back now, and I'm happy.
The downtime shows me how much I love CMC.

They locked the server (and unlocked it) for a reason we haven't done, it's getting very annoying.

was it just my computer, or was the site down earlier?
(all I got was some wierd error message when I tried to enter the site, and when I tried to login on cmc it say that my username was invalide or something

I got the same thing for both the forums and cmc, so I guess there was a problem. Noodle said he was having problems also.

I dunno what's causing it, what happens is that a lot of the server just goes ready only for some reason. A reboot usually fixes it.

yeah. the entire filesystem goes read only, it's baffling
