But wasn't stopping Eternion striking a blow for the status quo? Eternion would have put strict limits on everything, and take out the lazy.

And at the time he said that, the status quo was that everything revolved around Karn. The Plot overshadowed everything. The common NPCs' options were to become evil or deal with it. I'd hardly call "not wanting to turn evil" as corrupt.

The status quo that Argent rebelled against was that it was a world in which nameless bandits could just kill his family and nobody cares because they're too worried about ancient evils and relics.

Would it be ironic that he ends up being one of those evils using ancient relics? Even if he was sorta good at the end, being a third party (or is it Eternion the third party?)

Anyway, I bet drecker hates platforms as well. I'm surprised the guy didn't just borrow Karn's airship.

F*** mountains. Seriously, f*** mountains.

hhaha, i wonder if the reason they didn't go to the ultimate blacksmith was only because it was on a mountain.

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Aegof - 09-04-2006 12:43 AM

I bet Drecker heard about it before anyone else and didn't let Karn get the chance to learn of the Ultimate Blacksmith.

I like mountains

ps.
by `the gold armour guy` I ment the character tha joined the party, spent hours with leveling up, the party bought him expensive equipment (including a golden armour) and then he just left for no real reason

Argent is dead and it is good that way

Today's comic pretty much confirms that there's no chance in hell that Drecker's fake ending will ever come to pass (Training with Karashi on SNHM to become a Ninja).

He oughta commission someone to build an Erosion Cannon.

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - E-mouse - 09-04-2006 05:17 AM

Well, maybe not on SNHM. Or he could be taking this year-long trip to get one good, final run through flatlands done before ending up confined on a goddamned Diety-spooned mountain with his ninja-gal for an indeterminate period of time.

Um... because he's cool?

I look at this comic, and all I can think is...
SPOONIT! We're done with Lokar, and then you go and put some salt flats right by it!

I can't see any pattern to his travels, though.

Maybe he could buy a steamroller or get Ardam to do a summon or something...

Drecker, making the world a flatter place to live ^^

Oh hey, I completely forgot about the impact recent/upcoming comics could have on the ADVRPG. I just assumed that as we were past the ending we were safe.

Well, even if it affects the geography, at least it's nothing at all complex.

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Oddcube - 09-04-2006 10:14 AM

I suppose his fake ending could come to pass, but only on the condition that Ninja Mountain has at least one decent plateau.

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Chris B - 09-04-2006 10:51 AM

Yeah, a plateau or mesa could be a decent compromise. Of course he could call Karn to carve one into SNHM.

Yes, Argent was cool, and his death was also very cool. On the other hand, his remaining alive would not be particularly cool unless he actually continues to do cool things (if even then... it's just not the same as a dramatic death), which isn't going to happen since the comic has just about ended.

Maybe we'll see a statue of him?

They're all non-mountain-y places. Salt flats, deserts, parking lots, under-spooning-water.
Also, I live on a mountain. Well, technically, it's a foothill of a mountain, but it's close enough. No, there's not point in me saying that, except that it tangentially relates to the topic of Drecker hating mountains. Or something.
