There's also #444.

Remind me, why are we talking about brief party members, again?

*Hopes Karashi got her epic duel with this guy, whoever he was*

Because the Ninja Burger reference got shot down? :S
...There's an ad for the comic running today, in which Chookie's eyepatch doesn't have an eyepatch...

Just a quick FYI, aeon, the Ending comics aren't #999 numbered.

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - E-mouse - 09-09-2006 02:41 PM

Does this mean he gets an unofficially official link for those searching the comics from the archive page?

Damn, I was hoping Drecker and Karashi would stay together after it was all over.

webrunner post #18 Wrote:actually karn isn't last, but i'm going to do this:
- 9 main characters in random order
- 1 or 2 comics with multiple shorter 'couple' stories
- 1 or 2 comics with one-panel summaries of miscellanious characters and places
- credit roll
(My bold.) Did anyone even pay attention to this?

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Flipkat - 09-09-2006 09:27 PM

Yeah, but we can complain that they're not much in the personal bits anyway. Pairings always seem to be such a big part of people's lives after they pair. They surely wouldn't be so far from one another as to adventure alone?

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Milo - 09-09-2006 09:32 PM

Well, the character epilogues take place BEFORE they marry.

Also most of the paired characters' epilogues - Karn's, Lumi's, Ardam's, and Karashi's - seem to be about their professional lives, and don't go into their personal lives much, meaning that their lover could easily be present and just offscreen. Tesla's epilogue DID mention Ardam, so that leaves Drecker's as the only exception. Again, I just figure he wasn't quite ready to settle down yet - he probably will soon.

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - E-mouse - 09-09-2006 09:51 PM

Also note that Ardam's was the only one to really imply the passage of a large amount of time. These epilouge sections may not be all 'ending' at the same point in time: heck, it's mentioned in Drecker's comic that he only spent 1 year travelling the world. Like Milo said, it's most likely that these segments are about personal things that happened before the couples pair up or while they're still getting settled (which is possible in Karn's case).

I've mentioned the pairings/randoms thing a few times already. And yeah, it could just be that the other halves just weren't involved in those activities - it's just the more personal details.

So, what's gonna happen with Gildward?

I predict Gilded Zeppelin, or something similarly badass.

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - webrunner - 09-10-2006 10:20 AM

Is it so hard to beleive that six random points in the future aren't involving the other person?

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - LtSterling - 09-10-2006 04:18 PM

But everything in the world revolves around Karn, he is the main character after all.

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - masamunemaniac - 09-10-2006 05:36 PM

Revolved around Karn. As soon as the ending was over, he wasn't the pivotal point in This Planet anymore.

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Fighter143 - 09-10-2006 09:25 PM

Right, we just need the next generation's chosen warrior to show up after the next villan does something.

I just had a real random question. If Drecker hates mountains, then any landmark he visits that goes downhill will eventually go up hill when he needs to get out. So, the question is, why did he visit Below Sea Level World?

I'm seeing a trend with the endings with some relativly plausible things with the character, then something really out of the blue.

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - azulknight - 09-10-2006 10:00 PM

I think to Drecker, there's a difference between rocky mountain paths with magical floating platforms and a good set of stairs.

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Legendary - 09-10-2006 10:04 PM

Maybe he just hates the thinner air at heights high above sea level?
