Or it's the mountain environment he doesn't like, rather than the going up.

Or maybe it's the mountain orcs. Or the fear of volcanoes. Not that they exist...

Every RPG has a lava dungeon.

Hah! Today we learn that sinister black suits + really silly hats = COMEDY

I wonder what MBI stands for though.

I like the lute!   And I think he was refering to Dirlend/The Axe at the bit about 'extreme prejudice'.  Gildward looks sexy now.

Edit:

Musical Bureau of Investigations. Analogically, FBI.

Srsly, bards have sky-high charisma.

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - alphamai1300 - 09-11-2006 12:44 AM

No wonder he landed that comfy director position. Having 5Str was a bonus.

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - azulknight - 09-11-2006 01:40 AM

I think that it's 10 syllables. Kl + thrk + xs + six + sit + ix + ist + ii + cix + is.

And while I know it's joking about how bards have pathetically weak STR, Gildward did three digits of damage to Khrima, didn't he? Shouldn't it be higher than 5 STR?

Also, I wanna hear "Secret Agent Man" on a lute.

Also also, nice hats.

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - alphamai1300 - 09-11-2006 01:57 AM

They have natoriously weak STR, but I believe his horn attack was a music/magic attack, even if technically (read: realistically) physical. He's a low level bard, but I bet his magic capabilities are better than STR.

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Legendary - 09-11-2006 01:57 AM

That was while he was Truth Busted, so his stats were obviously a bit buffed.

Incidentally, who you gonna call? Truth Busters!

I would be correct to say that was the first time I saw that parody. But just to be safe, did someone say that already?

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - masamunemaniac - 09-11-2006 04:25 AM

Nope, I'm near certain that it's the first time, unless it was hidden in one of the more obscure spam threads or something.

Also, today's comic was gold.

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Sekele - 09-11-2006 06:05 AM

hey, what about Gildward training a new generation of bards
(after 3 generations they could get usefull)

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Lord Petrus - 09-11-2006 06:34 AM

Is "extreme prejudice" another reference to IanJ's RPGworld?

Or is that some kind of sentence commonly associated with the world of army and conspiracy?

RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Shadowhunter - 09-11-2006 06:55 AM

Commonly used, I believe.

My favorite part is Gildward having a str of 5, and crushing the other's hand. :)

Wow, what a powerful bard.

I am very pleased with Gildward's ending. Very pleased indeed. He's leveled up to be like a normal person now!

Yes.
