RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Milo - 09-15-2006 12:08 AM Yay! I figure the Messenger's summon WOULD be able to watch over their union, considering Ardam is capable of casting it. And Tesla may eventually be able to do so as well. (Though isn't that only in I-form?) RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Eidolon X - 09-15-2006 12:09 AM Hahahaha. I never thought about it, but killing monsters IS their primary source of income, so I guess he does have to pay taxes on it... RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Milo - 09-15-2006 12:51 AM Wouldn't tax collectors count as monsters themselves? RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Legendary - 09-15-2006 01:48 AM I loved the second panel best. But it's like choosing favorites among my children. So... bet Gildward's got a whole bunch of groupies now. Milo Wrote:Wouldn't tax collectors count as monsters themselves?Maybe someone can do some revisionist history on Shakespeare and say "Kill all the tax collectors" instead of the lawyers. Or...hell, make it both. Then all we have left to kill are terrorists like religious extremists, natural disasters and teeny-bop singers. Oh, and certain children's puppet mascots, but that's a whole other type of "war on terrorism". RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - alphamai1300 - 09-15-2006 02:54 AM Is it too late to make a joke about cardboard? Yes? oh well It's too bad there isn't a larger increment than the gold coin. Save Karn the trouble of lugging that huge bag of gold around. But...where's the suggestion that Karashi and Drecker got married? RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Sekele - 09-15-2006 02:59 AM haha, Ardam/Tesla cracked me up Karn/Lumi was really the mocking of obviousnes oh, Drecker and Karashi could actually apear as vilains in a continuation RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Chris B - 09-15-2006 05:08 AM I'm sad that no one got the pun in my last post. But Ardam and Tesla was the best of those. And at least Tesla did better than Watermelon Guy. It's here: Wow, no idea how I managed that, seeing as I had the comic open and I just copied the url. *shrugs* Anyway, Ribbons make you immune to taxation! RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - shaventalz - 09-15-2006 07:15 AM Love that marriage ceremony. Where do you think Karn's storing all those Golds? RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - masamunemaniac - 09-15-2006 07:25 AM I'm guessing just his inventory, it's just a pain when he wants to make a transaction with them. Especially when they're in the millions. RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - *NightWind* - 09-15-2006 09:43 AM I was just looking through the archives and found this comic: http://www.adventurers-comic.com/d/0197.html I wasn't here on these forums, so I'm not sure if this has been asked before - but can someone translate the speech buuble text in the first 2 boxes? The only words I can make out are "French", "distribute" and "Canadians". RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - webrunner - 09-15-2006 09:48 AM if i remember correctly it's like "Why are we speaking French?" "Spoony!" "What?" "The Candian distributors did it again!" IT has to do with FFIX, it was released a week late in Canada because of the then-new Quebec french manual law, and they forgot to put the English manual in when it finally did come out. Edit: Incidentally, we do have an entire -forum- for ADVENTURERS!, not everything needs to go in one thread. RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - *NightWind* - 09-15-2006 10:08 AM Thanks webrunner! I thought that I might get flamed if I started to necro the old threads. I'll make a note to myself to start a new thread for any questions I have in the future. ^^ RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - shaventalz - 09-15-2006 10:21 AM You can't keep golds in your inventory - he's got more than 99 of them. What he needs is a bank. RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Milo - 09-15-2006 11:36 AM legendary Wrote:I loved the second panel best. RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Fanirar - 09-15-2006 12:39 PM I do recall in Diablo you could take a pile of gold, merge it with another pile of gold to make a slightly larger yet very disproportionate pile of gold. Perhaps it much like that? Gold in contact with other gold becomes very much smaller. RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - masamunemaniac - 09-15-2006 01:37 PM In Diablo, gold was carried in piles of 5k. If you wanted to ever buy anything decent towards the moderately high levels, it basically meant you had to have almost all of your inventory be gold. Or in single player, you made a carpet of gold in town to save carrying it. webrunner Wrote:Edit: Incidentally, we do have an entire -forum- for ADVENTURERS!, not everything needs to go in one thread. That's something I was wondering about a while back - why we have so few ADV threads, considering that many other webcomic forums have threads dedicated to each individual comic. But eh, it's mayhaps a little late to start it now. RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Fanirar - 09-15-2006 01:47 PM From what I noticed, we did it by 'arcs', talking about the latest comic in the series. But since every comic has fallen into some arc, it may not have been able to apply to the earlier one-shot comics. But again, we're very close to the end...so I guess it is indeed too little too late. RE: Hey, it's Epilogue, not Ending - Flipkat - 09-15-2006 11:05 PM Man, I feel like I've been gone forever...So much to catch up on! E-mouse Wrote:Apparently, the fangirl mindset leads readily into bisexuality. This is news? Milo Wrote:I know a number of girls who like to squee and glomp bishies, but they all seem wholly uninterested in any non-fictional people. Like, say, me. Couldn't agree more with fangirls having no intrest in real people. Means romatic relationships at my age are pretty much a waste of time, though. legendary Wrote:So... bet Gildward's got a whole bunch of groupies now. I think he'd have to still be performing to have groupies. Retired musicians tend to fade into obscurity, which is right where you'd want to be if you were running a secret organization, I assume. alphamai1300 Wrote:But...where's the suggestion that Karashi and Drecker got married? See, I figured them for the "living together without the formal ceremony" types. And...in other news...I guess Tesla's not that good a student after all? Just enthusiastic. |
