...really? Are you... have you ever been to a book store? Keenspot's online store? Amazon.com, which links related books to any search (such as ones related by author)...

I'm not sure where it's going to be available but it's certainly not "just the forums"

What does that even mean, buying it on the forums?

RE: ADVENTURERS!: Level 1: World of Imbalance  - BOOK COMING SOON - Shadowhunter - 04-13-2007 09:35 PM

By 'just the forums', I mean going to the Keenspot site/store from a link on the forums and purchasing it online..

As opposed to being in some bookstore.

Hey, Flipkat makes sense. You see, this is more from a consumer marketing point of view. If a customer buys their first thing from the store, it is more likely that they will buy a second thing. The more items they buy, the more they are likely to buy.

So if by 3/4 of the way, most of the top sales customers have bought 3 books, it is rather likely they will buy the 4th book - AFH. It's more of customer loyalty and trust of quality. They know what they're going to get and will be more willing to buy AFH.

Well, not that AFH and ADV are the same 'brand', but they are similar enough in the way of 'a Mark Shallow comic production'. Both have similar types of humour and though their target market somewhat differs, hopefully some customers will be curious and decide to buy AFH too.

It's like a new flavour - you know you want to try it and you don't want to miss out. 'You must get that last comic book no matter what'.

It's even more better if everyone buys both comic series as that'll set a customer trend. 'If everyone buys it, so will I - there's gotta be something really good about it'.

And then we're assuming the average audience age of AFH is older than those who read ADV. Thus, they will have more disposable income. I think.

If only marketing was that simple >_>

And anyway, surely if they were "just curious", instead of ordering the book they just, y'know, try reading it online?

RE: ADVENTURERS!: Level 1: World of Imbalance - BOOK COMING SOON - *NightWind* - 04-14-2007 02:33 AM

Um, by 'curious' I meant that as in how AFH would look if it were printed? Like how the comic book ADV is different (and much better) to the online ADV.

Begins? We've been waiting since, like, November. Worth it, though.

Hey E-Mouse, are you interested in getting one? The shipping is the same whether I order one or two.

RE: ADVENTURERS!: Level 1: World of Imbalance  - PREORDER NOW - shaventalz - 05-25-2007 02:31 PM

Just an update: I got an e-mail this morning from Paypal, telling me that my package from Keenspot Entertainment was being shipped.

RE: ADVENTURERS!: Level 1: World of Imbalance  - PREORDER NOW - Shadowhunter - 05-25-2007 02:31 PM

Hey, cool! I just got an email today (well, at almost exactly midnight, it seems) that says that the 'product is being shipped'. I'm guessing that means that the comic book is finally done and being sent out? :)

Yay time to order

RE: ADVENTURERS!: Level 1: World of Imbalance - PREORDER NOW - Ultros - 05-25-2007 03:03 PM

I got that email as well. Looking forward to the book.

RE: ADVENTURERS!: Level 1: World of Imbalance  - PREORDER NOW - shaventalz - 05-25-2007 03:56 PM

As opposed to whatever we've been doing until now?

EDIT: I got the book! Definitely more convinient than trying to find a specific comic over a slow connection, and the comments are nice. Also, my internet was down for quite a while as I tried posting this. Interresting, huh?

RE: ADVENTURERS!: Level 1: World of Imbalance  - PREORDER NOW - Shadowhunter - 05-29-2007 09:48 PM

I, too, have the book now. Hurrah!

Now to come up with uses for the VCHs.

Am I the only person that's downloaded the entire ADV archive or something?

I've considered it, but my hard drive is already pretty low. >_>

Besides, I'd buy the book anyway.

I've got jurjy's list as a favorite, but saving them all just doesn't cut it for me.
