RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - Flipkat - 03-13-2007 10:46 PM I don't suppose he'd have to worry about buying more ammo. It seems to come with the gun. ...Now I'm in the mood for a Shadey/Eternion matchup. RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - E-mouse - 03-13-2007 11:53 PM If you mean combat, I get the feeling Shadehawk would be plastered across the floor in pretty short order. If you mean yaoi... well, I've already said too much. RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - Ultros - 03-14-2007 12:13 AM #cmc to the rescue! Or not. Ultros: Also, apparently Outpost needs to draw Shadehawk/Eternion yaoi next. Arsonic: no, it should be Gilward/Eternion yaoi alphamai1300: but with gildward being the dom Ultros: Gildward/anyone would be guro. alphamai1300: except another bard alphamai1300: wait, I guess that'd be guro too with him leveled up alphamai1300: hm, complicated... sqweek: maybe they could engage in some foreplay to get the other bard some experience alphamai1300: a quintet! Ultros: That still requires physical contact. Margo: bards whip eachother with harp strings for HP bonuses! alphamai1300: finding other uses for horns! Ultros: Two Hide skills and only one bush. Hmm. alphamai1300: musical chairs at a whole new level Ultros: Wearing pants should make one terrified. Ultros: Yeah, I think we're done here. RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - *NightWind* - 03-14-2007 01:02 AM You know what? I simply cannot imagine Eternion naked. Merry-go-rounds are too dangerous for bards. RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - Milo - 03-14-2007 01:15 AM *NightWind* Wrote:You know what? I simply cannot imagine Eternion naked.Invisin can. Though seriously, I think his clothes and mask are really a natural part of his body - a shell underneath which is only the Eternal Flames. RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - Takato_Guil - 03-14-2007 01:15 AM On Shadehawk vs Karn, let's look at this logically. Now then, Karn defeated Argent. Argent can survive the most devestating gun in the world, Shadehawk uses guns. Ergo: Karn>Argent>Shadehawk. One "Infinity Buster" and Karn wins. Even going solo. RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - webrunner - 03-14-2007 10:11 AM On Rock vs Paper, let's look at this logically. Now then, Rock defeated Scissors. Scissors can cut the most devastating card stock in the world, and paper is weaker than that. Ergo: Rock > Scissors > Paper. One smash and Rock wins. Even going solo. (not that I'm saying Shadehawk would win, but that the logic may be flawed) RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - Takato_Guil - 03-14-2007 04:32 PM But since I've proven using several real world experiments that rock does indeed beat paper (AND scissors), the logic ISN'T flawed. Or I just like ADV more, for an inexplicable reason. RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - Darg - 03-14-2007 09:07 PM Yeah, *Nightwind* just gave Shadey his desperately needed nerf. ... All this talk of nerf and guns makes me want to organize a Nerf deathmatch now... RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - *NightWind* - 03-14-2007 10:01 PM Takato_Guil Wrote:On Shadehawk vs Karn, let's look at this logically. Now then, Karn defeated Argent. Argent can survive the most devestating gun in the world, Shadehawk uses guns. But then after so many years, technology must have improved right? So it could be that Shadehawk's gun is better than Warbringer. I think Warbringer was meant more for Lesser Eternals too. Takato_Guil Wrote:Ergo: Karn>Argent>Shadehawk. Actually I think someone mentioned that the battle was to take place before Karn got his I-form. And Argent is still the coolest. RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - Takato_Guil - 03-14-2007 11:37 PM BEFORE Karn got his I-form??? Oh. So Shadehawk gets an ultimate weapon but Karn doesn't? That hardly seems fair. We should either consider them with all of their powers, or take away powers of equivalent value from each, since, obviously, Shadehawk is really a PC who would join the party. Now then, as there aren't overdrives in ADV (I don't recall any), Super-Haste/Speed mode seems fair enough to take away (and it is the ultimate weapon I referred to). Karn would probably have armor of various forms, so it is reasonable to conclude that fire/thunder damage isn't a key thing here. Sonic is the only side effect Karn DOESN'T have to worry about, but the others are trouble, although they would probably consume MP. Karn has potions, etc, but those wouldn't be very effective in the long run. Explosive would probably consume MP in large amounts, because of its power. Only usable a few times, in short. I guess it's really a tough call. But note, I'm only considering a solo battle. If all 9 ADV members were available, I think that ADV would certainly win, due to Karn's Obsessive-Compulsive behavior in collecting powerful weapons and his general preparedness with healing items, although I'm uncertain how difficult the battle would be. RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - masamunemaniac - 03-15-2007 07:04 AM Karn and his party vs Shadey, Crossroad and the Sisters? RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - Shadowhunter - 03-15-2007 08:00 AM Actually, Takato, you don't know that Shadey's weapon is the ultimate. First of all, he started with it, so it can't count as ultimate because there's no competition. Secondly, Webrunner could easily put in, like, a Black Bow or something. ...which is rather likely. And I'd vote the sisters for that. Although Poseidon being summoned would wipe the floor with the entire enemy party, by CMC rules. RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - Takato_Guil - 03-15-2007 02:08 PM I just took away its KNOWN ultimate power (the incredible stat boost, akin to Karn's). Since in all fairness, why should we limit Karn but not Shadehawk? That just makes it more and more likely for Shadehawk to win. Hm... With the VS, I have no idea. RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - Fighter143 - 03-15-2007 07:03 PM Takato_Guil Wrote:But since I've proven using several real world experiments that rock does indeed beat paper (AND scissors), the logic ISN'T flawed. Actually, Rock, Paper, Scissors is a not very good analogy to use. It all really depends on what the Rock, Paper and Scissors are. Now, the Rock could be a burning, planet-sized that would burn/melt or totally destroy everything in its path. Now the Scissors could be created out of super-high-tech-fusion slicers that could cut anything into shreds. Now the paper could be a perfect 2-D plane that can sperate any object, liquid or gas to the atomic level. Now a better analogy would be: Ordinary camp Fire, a tree and a rainstorm. Since the campfire burns down the tree, and the tree can absorb the water from the rain, then that means fire>tree>rain Not that the above was actually important. But Shadey>Karn in 1 on 1. Karn+Party vs Shadey is still unknown because we dont know what party Karn would use. Someone could go 1 by 1 with each possible party formation, but that would take a very long time. RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - Flipkat - 03-15-2007 08:29 PM Well, I think an obvious point to raise here would be that just because Argent wasn't hurt by a powerful gun doesn't mean it wouldn't hurt Karn. RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - masamunemaniac - 03-16-2007 08:24 AM I think an obvious point to raise here is that Warmaker must have had an elemental attribute that Argent had a 100% immunity against. RE: Karn vs Shadehawk? - Milo - 03-16-2007 12:20 PM Actually, Warbringer was shown to have enough attack power to do 9999 damage, but not break the damage limit. While heroes universally have at most 9999 HP (Lance excepted), major villains tend to have more than that. Argent's HP numbered several times that at LEAST, and quite possibly an order of magnitude larger. ...Oh wait, it was a cutscene! Well, in that case, nothing is impossible... if it can be contrived. |
