RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 1: Pawns and Knights - Loyle - 03-20-2008 06:32 PM I would've went with the Punnish Wallsmart myself. But, then again, that's cuz I can be a jerk sometimes. RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 1: Pawns and Knights - Aegof - 03-21-2008 12:08 AM Five bucks says Hector won't do any better next time. RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 1: Pawns and Knights - sXeAndriex - 03-21-2008 02:03 AM I know it's weird, but the shape of Hector's cigarette screams 'blunt' to me. Oh, and this sub-forum gets 5000 posts. RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 1: Pawns and Knights - starburst98 - 03-21-2008 08:58 AM lol, wizard doesn't play fair. RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 1: Pawns and Knights - Flipkat - 03-21-2008 09:47 AM Wait, did he just call himself an idiot? RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 1: Pawns and Knights - Loyle - 03-21-2008 11:37 AM That's what it sounded like to me. But it may just be an emphasis on how Hector thinks too much and never gets anywhere. RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 1: Pawns and Knights - webrunner - 03-21-2008 02:24 PM Wizard knows he's insane. He doesn't hide it. RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 1: Pawns and Knights - Hello - 03-21-2008 03:15 PM No catch 22 huh? Though still, as we have seen him act and plan in some fashion for his schemes, he does act on reason, just likely not what society calls reasonable. "Yet there is method in his madness." Otherwise, ...well let's just say Hector probably wouldn't be so certain about his claims or even stay in the same city as him. Also, it's just as likely Hector's a lousy chess player. Finding one's strategy is one thing, being able to just see the current situation is another. Not seeing a check is one thing, but getting into checkmate? It's something that should be fairly obvious 2 or 3 moves ahead. RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 1: Pawns and Knights - *NightWind* - 03-22-2008 12:19 AM Wizard cheated didn't he? RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 1: Pawns and Knights - Milo - 03-22-2008 02:35 PM That would explain why he kept getting check and checkmate at the dramatically appropiate moments. RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 1: Pawns and Knights - *NightWind* - 03-23-2008 04:29 AM HA! Gorilla, right there! RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 1: Pawns and Knights - Aegof - 03-24-2008 10:33 AM I bet he's not coming. RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 1: Pawns and Knights - Darg - 03-28-2008 01:32 PM He was probably playing CMC and the server crashed. Or got haxxed. That's why he's early. RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 1: Pawns and Knights - masamunemaniac - 03-28-2008 11:39 PM Piecing things together and reminders for people that missed or forgot anything: Angelson is the guy that confronted Shadehawk when he went to find Tera. His ring matches the insignia of the Council of All Consuming Fire. The person "receptive to power" might be Hector (conjecture), but could easily be someone else. The "book club or role playing or wherever" that Angelson goes to is most likely these shadowy Council meetings. Hector clearly doesn't know about them. Hector has never heard of a taxi (also conjecture). RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 1: Pawns and Knights - *NightWind* - 03-29-2008 01:44 AM Plot twist: Hector gets run over by that car in the distance. Probably because of either a drunk, or because Tera hired someone to kill him. Another plot twist: Somehow the Dom is involved and his henchmen burst out of the car and nab 'im. Yet another plot twist: The Sisters are in that car. RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 1: Pawns and Knights - masamunemaniac - 03-29-2008 02:06 AM I'd imagine that Hector's Plot Shieldâ„¢ would be way too strong for a drunk driver to be capable of even scraping him. And Tera would have a hard job of hiring anyone to kill Hector, what with her being held captive by Hector (assuming she's still alive). And Hector > The Dom. Tera Corp is pretty much the strongest force in Triumph City. The Dom wouldn't go up against them. The Sisters are too ignorant of who's pulling what strings to go after Hector. Even Charles wouldn't likely think Hector a target for revenge over the Tera Corp board in general (and I don't think he's a vengeful type anyway). And, for what it's worth, Hector seems to recognise the car, and possibly driver. RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 1: Pawns and Knights - Milo - 03-30-2008 05:38 PM More to the point, Hector disapproves of roleplaying. This, more than anything, proves that he is truly evil. |
