Ooh, or he's ninja with motion trackers! Then he'd be unstoppable! And completely unsurpriseable...

"Ninja:" Coincidence or do we forumers have more power over the comic than we realize?

"Mantis KR66
Call Unique Soldier/Ninja"
Please? Even as a voucher?

The more we are together the more we become the same.

If every cool new character was made into a voucher, we'd be swamped with them, and this guy probably only appears in these two pages (Edit²:without a name mention name clearly mentioned, oops).

I'm holding out for the next webcomic expansion, myself. Though there's a few others to come first (Masterwork Tools [Image: abilitypointer.gif] Forged Hammer [Image: abilitypointer.gif] Storyline Expansion [Image: abilitypointer.gif] I'm guessing a Webcomic Expansion could come next but there's no word on that yet).

Unfortunately it does take quite a long time to produce sets (although a webcomic expansion should be much faster, as cardart is a huge bottleneck), so don't be holding your breath for the next few years...

EDIT: I was meant to open saying that AFH vouchers are much more likely to be of characters with more 'screentime', like Union, GOLEM-01, Froster (who was almost a voucher iirc), and so on.

We are one. Resistance is futile. All will join the CMC - the Card Master Collective.

The triumphant return of...
Uh.
What was it we called her? Redie? Bluey? Some color name.

Pretty close with the first one actually - Rose Kirkins.

She totally just wants to get out of there. She has a date tonight with a leggy blond.

Enjoy a nice refreshing Tera Cola today!

(or we kill your family)

I don't trust Greenie anymore - no matter the side. She seems to have changed a lot. It wouldn't surprise me if she was somehow the true villain and it was her who removed Tera.

RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 2: King's Ransom - masamunemaniac - 05-02-2008 08:52 AM

Greenie dreams of being a superhero. She also works for TeraCorp, and has for quite some time now. She's not aware of any conflict there - as far as she's aware, TeraCorp is a company like any other. And as far as she's aware, Crossroad is some sort of villain that's broken in, and the MANTIS agents are just security guards trying to stop her (although this part is actually the case).

She may act as "villain" at some point later on by engaging in madhaxx0r battles against Wrench and/or Echo, but no, she's not really changed, and she's certainly not a real villain.

I am delightfully paranooooid!

RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 2: King's Ransom - Milo - 05-02-2008 11:02 AM

I don't see why you're complaining about her cooperating with someone who's pointing a sword at her. Aspirations of superherodom or not, it's just kinda common sense.

RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 2: King's Ransom - Darg - 05-02-2008 11:13 AM

As much as it goes against my nature to do so, I gotta agree with Milo with this one. Aspiring to be a superhero is one thing, but when someone takes you hostage with an energy weapon before you actually achieve superhero-dom, you go with the flow. Especially when they catch you in your secret identity...that's just bad.

RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 2: King's Ransom - *NightWind* - 05-02-2008 11:27 AM

So the last panel happened before the middle panel?

RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 2: King's Ransom - masamunemaniac - 05-02-2008 11:33 AM

The last panel is Crossroad emerging from her hiding place with the projection beam blade drawn at Greenie - which very heavily implied that Greenie was threatened before the Agent arrived. For effect, this was not shown to the readers (if it had been shown the next three panels would have been very boring, because they'd have contained exactly what was expected).

RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 2: King's Ransom - *NightWind* - 05-02-2008 11:36 AM

Ah okays.

RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 2: King's Ransom - webrunner - 05-02-2008 11:57 AM

There are hints of it, you can see a grey blob between the vending machines in the first two panels.

RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 2: King's Ransom - *NightWind* - 05-02-2008 12:04 PM

I didn't really think of it that way until now where I compared the blue vending machine in the 2nd and 3rd panels. At first I thought the curve was for style and design... ^^;
