Even if getting stronger means you lose clothes, the converse isn't necessarily true. Losing clothes doesn't always mean you're getting stronger.

I think losing clothes makes you stronger unless your opponent's actions were directly responsible for the clothes' destruction.

Also a good point.
The more skin that is shown as a part of the original style grants a lot to base strength.(Just look at the standard female warrior armor and how badass the women under them are) The more skin revealed, or clothing damage in general, in the heat of battle gives small or large boosts to power level, depending on the nature of said clothing removal. Someone should do research on this phenomenon.I'm too lazy

RvB's Tex being one of the few exceptions to that rule. And, actually, RvB's Sister is the opposite exception (she got completely naked, and still couldn't kick a fly's ass if she wanted).
