I'm pretty sure Ayame is one of the ninja girls from Dead or Alive.

Edit: Nope, completely wrong (it was Ayane.) I think he's referencing the girl from Tenchu.

I'm assuming they mean Ayame from the Powerstone games, who is a pretty badass ninja.

Of course, it's possible they mean a completely different Ayame who happens to be a ninja.

Kind of an off the beaten path reference, isn't it? For instance, I've got no clue who you're referring to, and neither does wikipedia. So a bone for those of us who don't watch anime? Who's Ayame?

If you wanted a female ninja, go all American and pick Venus, the greatest kunoichi of all time. Also, in my opinion, the hottest turtle of all time. Or I believe I suggested a few ninjas back on page 1. Polly Esther is a samurai and a cat (and a pizza, apparently), and Cassie/Casandra is a silent killer (really- the girl can't talk in the beginning of her series) who wears all black and goes out only at night- pretty ninja-esque to me. Especially since I'm pretty sure she leads an army of ninjas under Cain's brainwashing drugs, but I don't really follow her anymore. Speaking of batgirl, I guess Spoiler/Stephanie was a little bit of a ninja too, with the mask and everything. Less so once she became batgirl, but more so as Robin. Speaking of which, Robin's a fine ninja name. Or if you want well known kunoichi people like me might actually recognize, Sakura, Ino, and Hinata work. Otherwise, I'm officially suggesting Ayame, thus winning the prize if you pick it.

Or Raven if she likes high places that much.

I really am happy to see I wasn't the only one who didn't understand the Ayame + ninja thing. I suggested Ayame from Furuba because she's so loud and never shuts up. Webrunner took it as a ninja, which I agree with but I don't know what ninjas either. XD

Throwing Franziska out there because upon meeting the other (and much, MUCH larger) cats, she thought she was top dog and starting hissing/spitting at everyone else. (She hissed first).

There has got to be an unwanted harem manga/anime character that fits that description to a T.

Hissing/spitting like she could actually take them, or would she have gotten her ass kicked if they hadn't found her so amusing?

In other words, is she a cat version of Hit Girl, or does she just have a Napoleon complex?

I'm not sure if she could take them per se, but the boys here are giant wusses... Sanji cowered at her hissing, BAMF! ran away, and Doctor just kept eating and ignored her. Samus hissed back and ran away (but she does that with cats when she wants to be left alone). I don't know if they took her as a threat, but she hissed at a German Shepherd/Rotti mix earlier in the week XD She does this weird... dance.. where she keeps the pose you see cats in on Hallowe'en paraphernalia typically. (arched back, on tippy toes, tail up... and she'll run like this, well scamper... up to the dog)

After she realized the dog wasn't much of a threat she stopped hissing, but kept doing the dance... (and if you touched her when she wasn't expecting it she would hiss all at once..not a hisssss.... but like a hiss explosion all within 1-2 seconds... not drawn out lol) Hiss explosion... makes me think of a Creeper lol

So maybe a bit of both?

Then I'll suggest River, as in River Tam.

And if we're going with rivers, why not suggest Nitori.
