Crossroad: Legends and Tales

New chapter begins proper today, and it certainly lives up to the promise of an entirely new art style.

Not entirely sure what I think of the use of stock textures in there (but then it's hard to form a proper opinion after just two panels really). Nice that coloured eyes have made a return though.

Given that those random 'Excalibur' pages involved GOLEM-1 meeting Crossroad on his search for Shadehawk, I wonder whether this chapter will involve her acquiring a new sword, and possibly becoming Queen of England?

EDIT: That last bit was meant to be a terrible joke, but I just realised that given the last chapter, it wouldn't really be all that implausible...

Yeah, I was disappoint that GOLEM-1's intro introduced hi as GOLEM and not GOLEM-1

Dat Ass... That's pretty much all I have to say...

What, in the name of all that is holy, happened to the art style?

As I've said, please mind the dust and watch your step. The art style is under renovation but the comic is still open during construction.

Is this a one-story change, the first of several experiments, etc.?

It's probably going to change as the storyline goes and I get settled/comfortable. But don't expect it to go back to the old style.. I needed to break out fo my comfort zone

Yea, nothing wrong with experimenting and seeing what else works for you. I'd like to see you keep trying stuff out.

Hmm, not sure if I'll ever get used to this new style...but I can totally understand wanting to expand your horizons and expiriment with new things.

This is going to end with GOLEM 1 being launched out of a torpedo tube again, isn't it?

You know how cartoons often show electrocution by having the character briefly turn into a charred skeleton before returning to normal?

It's probably like that, only... a little less deep.

So, Crossroad is Queen of England, Shadehawk is King of Canada...and they live happily ever after in America?
I smell a quirky sitcom!

Wrench is already Queen of the Hackers, so this just leaves Echo needing to become King of the French Fries or something.

We've even got a King of Ice!
