The CSCs for Gildward looks fine. Can you test other cards with Focus, please?

[Not Fixed, not csc] attackers dizzy regardless of focus/vigilance/similar see post
Bugle Edit: Just going to write all over this post for Ultros.

It appears no matter what the thing has (focus, "does not dizzy when attacking" or snow ribbon's undizzying after attacking, monsters still dizzy.

A separate issue i Snow Ribbon's (and likely Ribbon's) "cannot be dizzied" abilities also don't work.

Nacho's text follows. "It" refers to Snow ribbon.

It gives neither of its abilities

RE: [Bug] Gildward
Just did. Focus stops spells and abilities, but not dizzying from attacking.

Also won't stop an ability monster from using said ability, even if the ability's cost is dizzying. Can't remember if we were going to remove that or not, so I figured I'd mention it.

From testing with multiple focusy cards-
Monsters with Focus still dizzy when they attack.
Monsters with Focus ARE protected from being dizzied by both direct and indirect spells. (tested with Blur Effect and Stun Grenade)
Monsters with Focus granted by Aviator Goggles still dizzy if their ability has a cost of dizzying.

Chompie Translation Guide:
- Ability Monster: A monster with any sort of ability. Melrak Pikeman, Malatak, Paladin Lifegiver, Blood Armour
- Vanilla Monster: A monster with only its stats, one completely unaffected by the Spiked status. Winged Golem
- Cornerstone Card: A card that you build a deck around, the one that your strategy revolves around and would fall apart without. Soulsphere
- Support Card: Any card whose presence makes another card stronger. This depends on the cornerstone in a deck to define whether it's supporting or just another card taking advantage of the deck's strengths. Plateau of Shades
- Utility Card: Helps a deck deal with threats in some way, but is not necessarily related to the core strategy of the deck. Infinity Shield, Tremorcall

RE: [bug] Snow Ribbon
It was missing code for general Ribbon-stype anti-dizzying. Was it correctly undizzying after the monster attacked?

RE: [bug] Snow Ribbon
It should have Ribbon protection code now. That needs testing, as does the Vigilance-style focus attack.

RE: [Fixed, Unconfirmed] Snow Ribbon
Snow Ribbon does grant +10 life upon entering play. However, the retroactive vigilance ability does not work, and neither does Snow Ribbon protect monsters from being dizzied by Magnetic Wipe or by Holy Peacemancer.

RE: [Not Fixed, maybe csc] Snow Ribbon
The CSC code looks fine now. This is either a bug with modifier code or with Focus style abilities themselves. Can you test the following cards for me?

Ribbon
Spacewarp Drive
Falcon Captain

Falcon Not Focused
Ok the title isn't 100% accurate. It has focus but it only appears to be half working. If targeted by a dizzying spell/ability focus keeps the Falcon undizzy but when it attacks it dizzies.

RE: Falcon Not Focused
Check post 6. Although it appears your testing was more thorough than Nacho's was; he reported Falcon Captain did nothing at all.

Ohhhh, wait, my bad, I failed to notice that Falcon =/= Falcon Captain. I haven't played with or against bird decks in years.

Now for a correct correction to this thread:

Focus not keeping attacking monsters from dizzying due to the attack is one of the "known issues" in Serith's known issues thread.

Yeah, I remember seeing the bit about focus show up in that thread and thinking "when was that reported?" Maybe it was mentioned in IRC or something.

RE: [Not Fixed, not csc] attackers dizzy regardless of focus/vigilance/similar see post
Abilities that prevent things from being dizzied should now all work properly. I'll note that under the new rules, Focus no longer prevents something from using an activated ability that requires dizzying, and using such abilities should still dizzy the entity.

Five points to Nacho for the initial report, and for additional testing, ten points to Chompie and three each to Nacho, Crow, and A Hurse.

RE: [Not Fixed, not csc] attackers dizzy regardless of focus/vigilance/similar see post
Focus monsters no longer dizzy when they attack.

When a modifier is attached to a focus monster, granting it an activated ability which dizzies the user, it can use the ability and is dizzied as a result.

Ribbon works.

All three abilities on Snow Ribbon are working correctly, but it does not announce in the game text log that the monster gets undizzied. Dead Woods does trigger as appropriate.
