RE: What Happened? Here's what happened.
E's idea would still roxxors...but I won't do it.
Maybe. *insert demented laughter here*
And my idea was just to turn it into a thread-generating poll.
Yeah, so anyway...how'd this get all turned around about my avatar, anyway? *looks up a few posts* Oh, right...
So's, um...I'm trying to figure out a way to get back on topic, but am failing miserably...
*back on topic*
Heh, that works.

Do you still have any files left from the original system? Do you still have the backup?
There's still some posts I really want to get back, and with each passing day the chances of someone finding them through E-mouse's method become grimmer. I know someone on another board who seems to know about phpbb and might be able to reconstruct them if they're still on your hard disk in any shape or form. (Actually, I already asked him to email you as soon as I saw your announcement when the forums where down. Did you conciously decide that there's nothing he can do to help, or did it get mistaken for spam?)
(And no, I'm not going to stop whining until someone recovers these threads in some way or another.)

The backup didn't get to the actual post data part of the backup. It was just which-post-in-which-thread data and forums, but no thread data and no post data.

Whew... went away for a while with the holiday craziness, and just about panicked when I came back. Until I saw this. That'll teach me to read the top forum first.

RE: What Happened? Here's what happened.
Any chance we could get a levelling mod? I've seen forums where users have levels plus HP bars, MP bars, EXP bars, a class, and sometimes some other stats. I just find those things nifty.

Preparing for a levelling mod is what blasted the forum to start with.
Also, there's no levelling mod for MyBB RC4 right now.
