OH WAIT. Last news post: Tuesday, August 16, 2005. That means it's pretty much ended.
"For who knows what is good for a man in life, during the few and meaningless days he passes through like a shadow?
Who can tell him what will happen under the sun after he is gone?"
"Maybe going to be released someday in some format" qualifies as "pretty much ended" in my book.
MY BOOK FTW

RE: How did you come to know the Adventurers?
...
That's... uh... but... but there's always h... gah! I can't say it! Half a year later and bleeaaaaaaah!
*Pant pant pant*
Idea for an Adventurers! epilogue: Gildward finishes RPG World.
To be sane: to be of quiet mind. Quiet, lacking sound. Unsound. To be of unsound mind: to be insane. So, are you sane?
Actually, I think Adventurers! was the first webcomic I started reading ... sometime in 2000 (or was that 2001 ?).
All courtesy of a member over at a forum discussing the (then upcoming) PC RPG Arcanum (of steamworks and magick obscura) who thought this strip was kinda funny and had some common ground.
And I'm glad he did. I really like my morning routine of checking up webcomics.
I belive Eternion's flunkies drew me to the comic--especially Garshask.
Speaking of which:
Give a man a match, and he'll be warm for a minute. Set him on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

Eh. I'd rather they bring up an old topic than make a new one that's exactly the same thing. And we got some fanart out of it, so it's not a worthless post.
Obviously, a "fanartist". Let him, her, or it draw what he, she, or it wants. -_- We all benefit from the free art; who cares which character is the artist's lastest obsession, aside from the artist? It's none of our business. It could be a Khrima/Garshark leadin. But that's unlikely.
i was linked to cmc from mac hall and then linked from cmc to adventurers at wich point i thought i should read it since i was playing so much cmc so i invested a few hours and skimed thro them all

Geez, I found this comic like... somewhere around Strip # 60-80, I don't quite recall. It wasn't til about #120 or so that I actually showed up in the forums. I hung out in the first and second forums for most of thier lifespan, then when the roleplaying drive dried up, I moved on to RPGWW.
I pretty much just lurk around here now
As for how I found it, it was linked on an old Team Rocket themed BBS *years* ago, and being a fan of RPGs I checked it out. My standards aren't very high, so I didn't shy away on art alone. I thought the writing was hilarious, and continued on.
On that note, I wish The DOOM Army had more fans... the author seems unmotivated and I love that comic
