What exactly is a sword bomb?

I was writing my fanfic and I had gotten to the part where Karn bought sword bombs. Then I started to ask myself, "What exactly is a sword bomb?" I mean, is it a weapon you equip that explodes every time you attack and you lose more HP than the monster does. Or is it something Karashi throws at an enemy, to which the enemy gets stabbed, then blown up?

Just a thought....

Maybe it is a sword that explodes when it touches the enemy, causing extra damage, but still causing damage to teh user.

Looks like the end of the sword is explosive, because there's still a bit left at the bottom of the animation. Maybe it's random, who knows?

Wouldn't it be nice if it were a sword of potassium coated with a layer of zinc? The more often used, the likelier chance of-*KABOOM!!*

For the ADV RPG, the plan is to have them be fairly powerful one-use items that damage one enemy at the cost of damaging yourself as well. The relative 'amounts' are up to debate.

Physically, uh, I'm not as sure.

CMC says it's about as powerful as a punch to theface, and hits you for half that much.

What if you throw it? Can you avoid the damage?

Based on CMC Karashi's throw ability, no more than a usual weapon... so somehow it doesn't explode when thrown, no.

THen again, CMC isnt really the best way to compare things to ADV (rembers a Jelly killing I-Spybot). A bomb sword probably is a sword that is a bomb. If you dont hit something with it quick enough, it'll probably explode in your face.

The thing is I was at the part where the hero from RPG World asks Karn what sword bombs are and I didn't have a clear definition of it.

Probably either a sword that explodes when you swing it or a bomb shaped like a sword.

I dunno, but watchers on One Piece will recognise the 'spear' bomb someone uses with all seriousness in a vain attempt to kill Mr. Rubberpants

The protagonist is made of rubber. He got that way from eating a cursed....something. I don't remember. Apple?

And yeah, it's sort of a comedy. I don't like it that much.

Also, One Piece is an Anime about pirates in which the main character is rubbery - thus (I think) you can stretch him and he is invincible to blades and sharp things like that. The only "ability" that caught my attention is that he can stuff himself in a barrel. Well, that's all I got from watching 10 mins of the first episode - Totally Spies was on another channel. But yeah, it is more of slapstick comedy.
