Update to 1.1.6 + INVENTORY SHOP MOD

On a serious note, this should definitely be an interesting add-on. I wonder how the forum RPs will affect it, if at all? There are a couple of things I'd like to see added from them.

That would be another fun thing to have, yeah. But there could be problems with arguments erupting about certain posters/characters/whatever getting different amounts of items related to them, so it may be safer to just avoid...

But, having one or two based on well-established or long-standing characters would probably be safe.

You mean like your own Nameless Author, or POW's Roland?

If there were 'custom' parts given out from contests or as a gift, that would be awesome. But I seriously doubt that it'll happen.

I suppose now people are going to be trying to get their avatar picture to match their equipment. I think I'll save up...maybe get me a Spam elemental...

Dragoon Set for me.

I wonder if the money could be accrued as time passes, and not simply on the basis of post count. (Example: Receive 100 points for every day you log in on the boards.) The postcount frenzy is bad enough among newer members as it is. What we need is some kind of reward system for INTELLIGENT posts.

Or, write a wee script that makes posts in Fire and Brimstone worth less than in other forums.

I second bluestone's idea. There are days that I can't really post anything, besides random spam, and getting a little bit of money for the thought would be a good insentive. But it would be a "once a day" thing. I know I would be tempted to logon-logoff constently for money. But I wouldn't. Never.

No you wouldn't... not if your award for logging on could only be given once per day.

I think I said that, I was just giving an example with that.

What if mods could be given the ability to declare a post 'worthless' and strip the money reward from it? No idea how easy this would be to set up, though.

I think spam posts should count for 5 or something...there's not all that much posting opportunity outside of it, and getting 8000 money for the Dragoon Set (800 posts) outside of spamming would be....awhile.

That's kinda the point. If you want the high-level items, you've got to be willing to wait for them.

It might be easy to set up, but hard to implement because there's too many posts to monitor.  Though it might work if they can exclude specific threads I suppose.

And would we eventually be able to make our own suggestions and sell them for money?

Lunar Bluestar and Flipkat also had this cool idea of pictures representing the items.

The way it works is that it gives you a certian amount for making a new post. Each post does not have a 'money value' attached to it, it just increments it as part of making the new post.

I can, however, modify a person's cash value directly

Also, I have this idea about saving space, the "Groups" and "Joined" values can be taken out.  I haven't seen much use for them because for the groups, the pink username for mods is more noticable and then the registered date doesn't mean all that much. But then that's only me though. It's probably more like a profile type of detail.
