So I just noticed that there's some extra quote marks scattered amongst some of the cards.  I'll see if I can fix them as without the fix, it leads to a messed up layout.  This happens for searching the card range 990 - 1111.  And probably for some other cards too...

Sigh... this happens for 369 of 1063 cards. So that means I have to rewrite the database script for this. I don't know when I'll have time, maybe the weekend if life goes my way.

For now, I can't be certain how this will affect the "Buy from personal stores" feature. If someone can let me know if the button still works as expected, that'd be great.

I've fixed the table grid problem on my card searcher - it seemed to only happen with cards which are at the same time names of the HS staff.  I've still got the speech quote thing to fix.  And there was something else I fixed, but forgot what it was.

Will keep you posted.

Does anyone still want me to keep the Sidewinder site running? If I don't get a reply in the next week, I'll be taking it down to save space and lessen confusion.

I can't buy things with your card searcher. The button doesn't show up.

Do you have the 'include store searcher results' on? You need to check that, and the button should show (it does for me).

It shows up for me as well. You probably didn't have the box checked.

Sidewinder was only used for the MT Beta, whilst WildFire was used for personal stores. WildFire has since been deleted. (Take that WildFire! Nyeh! )

Which, um, card searcher - the main one or the Sidewinder/MT Beta one?

If MT Beta, then yes, I purposely removed the store button because my code cannot be modified to search the dev stores. I don't plan to make it completely compatible with the dev site because I lost my Java files and don't have time for this much.

The Dev site changes at the admins' whim anyway.

If anyone wants a specific booster-available card for something, just let me know, or check the public store, or sell your 600 point cards and buy craptons of booster packs, or whatever.

No need for NightWind do devote time to a project that nobody would use

Heh. I wasn't aware of that either. I just figured the store search function was taken down for a while.

Hmm... in that case, I'll see if I can make it more clearer on the search form.

My card searcher has been updated to include the newest VCHs.

Extra quotes scattered around card text has now been removed. So you should now be able to see the card text as they should look. Let me know if there's anything amiss.

Edit: Sidewinder /MT Beta card searcher has been taken down to save space. Let me know if you want it back up again.

What is the HS overflow bug anyway? I assumed that was the bug that shown a load of the HS page when you do a search that includes Gloopzilla, but as it still shows I guess not

About the HS overflow bug - for my card searcher, to check if a card is available in HS, I search for the card name on the HS wiki page. I make sure not to search for it in the reservations section - just the card list section. From there, I can see if it's available and if so how many are.

If the format of the HS page changes, such as the text of the headings, I have to change mine as well. But this time it was different.

For the special cards, and in particular Ultros' card, when I search for the text "Ultros" on the wiki page, it would point me to Ultros' name in the HS staff section, whereas the intention was to search in the card list. So off my card searcher went to pick Ultros' name from the staff section and the first quantity it sees (Gloopzilla) and print all the text between that.

Thus we have the overflow bug where we get a giantically long column filled with the entire HS page. This also messed up the formating of the results, leading to either 6 columned tables where around 70% of the cells are blank or even weirder, recursively nested tables (depth of around 20) because of unexpected td tags.

So yeah, now I limit it to search between the h2 Card List and h2 Reservations sections or something like that. I'll just have to check HS everynow and then to see if the formatting has changed and if so, if I need to update my code.

This doesn't usually happen much as it's rare we get a card with the card name that is also the same as a member of HS. But anyways, it's fixed now. Um, I guess if you're curious, I can regenerate that bug in a test site. It would be one of the more interesting bugs I've fixed. ^_^
