RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 2: King's Ransom
Well that's not going to do any good. If Zelda has taught me nothing else, it's that when you knock off a knight's head it starts to float and shoot energy at you while the rest of the body attempts to stab you.

Ross: I might not seem that tough now, but someday I will grow up to be a man as strong as my dad. You wait and see!
Lute: OK. I'll look forward to it. But I won't get my hopes too high. Disappointment is a cruel mistress.

I like how she completely sliced him in half. That was totally awesome.
Also, playing too many games make me want to suggest that she steal the large sword whilst she's at it. It can make quite an excellent asset.

In an effort to make this vaguely on topic: I don't hate AFH. Now with 100% more knight.
I agree with all of the above.
No, really, I do!  It's not my fault that the truth happens to coincide with a dumb meme.  Stranger things have happened.

Hey, he clearly lost some of his shoulders as well. I'd call it about one-third, or even 40%. Though his arms don't seem to have immediately fallen to the floor.

She already has excellent assets. Also, she only gave him a flesh wound.

Note for future: if you have that much molecular steel, make armor out of it and carry a smaller sword made from the leftover.

Maybe it wasn't a clear shot before, but with this, I don't really care for his new coat design. I'm also amazed at how poorly kept his equipment was, especially his Silver Arrow. Suspicious, suspicious...

RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 2: King's Ransom
I was thinking the same for his costume in this comic I checked back, seen that he was wearing a different one at the beginning of the chapter, but that he'd got changed in the hours between Hector waiting for his chess game and Hector meeting Shadey.
He shouldn't have got changed. Poor wardrobe choice.
Also, interesting about that on the Silver Arrow - I completely missed that. This is Hector, not Nefarious - it's certainly odd that he'd let the gun out of his sight again considering that that was what the whole killing Jacob thing was all about.

RE: Phase 8: Manipulators; Chapter 2: King's Ransom
That's a good point; then again, for all their training, skill and technology, MANTIS agents are still just minions, and we all know the rule about minions, especially when they're tasked with "securing" important items.
It's still strange, though, that Hector didn't immediately confiscate the Arrow upon Shadey's capture. His only possible excuse is he didn't have time, which is still kind of a poor excuse.

Agreeing with the general dislike for Shadey's new outfit. It's just... well... not cool.

Ah, so a living, captured Shadehawk was a part of the plan to defeat Wizard? That explains why the Silver Arrow wasn't exactly prioritised... I guess?

"Pass this letter on to five other people, then attack Wizard with a pointy stick. Follow the instructions properly and you're guaranteed to win!" Nice way of raising an army.

Hmm...So the plan somehow involves pyramids. If it also includes ancient Egyptian laser beams and card games, I think I might know what it is.

I was thinking more of a handwavium device that would simply drop the pyramids on Wizard till he is overwhelmed.

Impressive...it shone through polarized glass like it wasn't there. What is this mysterious green glow, then?
