I found it oddly amusing that the last post of that thread was:

bubbleman Wrote:The list of monsters looks good, though I would add Temporary Character and Spiked Golem to the list. Most of the suggested nerfs look good, though a couple of them are a little off for me. Also, War Hero is for the most part fine by me. I've always thought he was a bit underpowered in comparison to the other six-costing beatsticks. I'm not exactly against nerfing him, but I don't think it's necessary.
I strongly disagree about Temporary Character, and I don't really think Spiked Golem is worth nerfing, either-- I think defensive monsters have a tendency to be overrated compared to their actual utility.  Temporary Character's drawback is huge.  There's a 25% chance that he will not live past your next draw phase without your opponent doing anything.  Even if that were a one-time drawback, it would be enormous, but this then repeats every turn thereafter.  Frankly, if anything, I suspect he'd still be underpowered after the nerfing of his peers.
As for War Hero, I figured in light of the 6-point nerf to Winged Golem and the 3-4 point nerfs to Angelic Warrior and Spirit Bird, he could do with a 1-point nerf.  If you think about it, a 50/56 for the same price as a 52/52 or 42/65 is probably about right, even factoring in uniqueness.  He was underpowered before only in comparison to other cards of similar cost that are now being nerfed.

I'd say 50/56 is about right not factoring uniqueness. Though I can't really think of why that one stat point would matter.

RE: Nerfing the midcost monsters, Stage 1
Temporary Character gets a nice stat boost for his negative ability, but whatever, I really don't feel that strongly about that one.
As for Spiked Golem, trust me, it's currently better than Stone Golem from my experience. I have a Spike Golem spam deck that works just as well as any Stone Golem deck I've ever faced, if not better due to it being able to trade with six costing beatsticks and light five-coting ones. Spiked Golem is one of the best five-costing monsters in my honest opinion. A 40/60 monster for five mana is really good, even if it's only 40/40 on offense. (-5/-5 on offense in exchange for +15/+0 on defense sounds fair to me).
For Hero, like I said, either way works for me. Not going to make a big deal over one stat point.

Actually +15/-5 on defense. I guess I'd be okay with something like 39/39 for Spiked Golem, but I wouldn't consider it necessary.

RE: Nerfing the midcost monsters, Stage 1
I'm still for what Tamdrik is suggesting. But there's no 2/3rds majority. Going from JTorch's breakdown (which is accurate afaik), and Blue's vote withdrawal.
I'd suggest making a separate thread for Spirit Bird, Winged Golem, Blood Armor and Valian Iridith as soon as possible, and leave it at that for now.

I'd still think it worth adding Spiked Golem and Temporary Character to the list for consideration, just add them to the "probably doesn't need a nerf" category that you have going.

I don't see anyone voting to nerf Spirit Bird, Winged Golem or Blood Armor in this new thread that didn't just vote to nerf them in this one.

Yeah, we already had the 5-6 midcosters(it's funny because I told Jay on msn you guys were going to make a new thread for this shit after the rules are implemented - I was half right.) brought up. Why not focus on the two that everyone agrees are overpowered, the 3/3 costers?

RE: Nerfing the midcost monsters, Stage 1
things that need a nerf (with said nerf included) in my opinion:
CK-99 Samurai (-3/-0) i'd go with a full -5 but he does have that pretty big drawback and i wouldn't want to overnerf him
Mechahawk- (-2/-5) i really want to nerf this one harder...but i restrained myself...we'll see how that goes
Scrap Heap- change the ability to +10 instead of +15
Skeletal Bird- (-2/-2)
Spirit Bird- (-0/-5) not a good nerf nevermind
there are others that could probably use a nerf (Valian Iridith for example) but i have little experience with them and wouldn't know what an appropriate nerf would be

Shame there's a number of people who voted here that we'll never hear from again.
