RE: [Change]Valiantine's Day
He's right, monsters do hardly ever get sacced. There are some decks that rely on saccing, but most of them rarely need to do that unless you're mana screwed. Even if 50% of the games you play involve your opponent wanting to sac their monsters (which they really don't), Valiantine's Day wouldn't be useful. As we've found out time and time again, cards that rely on what's in your opponent's deck to be useful generally suck. If the card's a waste of a deck slot over half the time then it's not a good card.

And keep in mind it also reduces your own monsters sac value, so if you want to sac anything then you have to get rid of Valientine's Day. Basically you can't have it both ways. If saccing is incredibly useful and everyone needs to do it then the card sucks. If saccing is rarely useful and almost no one needs to do it, then it's also a bad card. See, there are two problems here. The one I stated in my first paragraph, and the fact that cards which have the same negative effect for both you and the opponent tend to suck unless they are the type of thing you can build your deck around (such as TDQ).

The +6 attack to Paladins barely makes up for losing the effect slot, much less the three mana cost, so don't say that that's supposed to negate the fact that not every deck needs to sac monsters to be effective. I've played literally dozens of games this past week, and maybe 20% of them involved saccing in any significant way. I've also used Valientine's Day before, and the sac reduction ability has never ended up being useful. It was a waste of deck space, and I ended up taking it out of my paladin deck.
