RE: NightWind's Card Searcher
Apparently, it got updated. It now has the extra check box to hide cards that have no sellers.

Working fine for me atm.
EDIT: I should stop opening threads and then replying to them hours later.

What the...?
This is unexpected. Perhaps you can get a screenshot of that next time you see it? I'm guessing one of the following happened:
1) nofeehost's um, host, decided to revoke the ownership rights for the entire nofeehost system - including all user accounts.
2) nofeehost decided to somehow randomly mess with people's accounts such as yours truly's in order to scare people into paying them for the sites
3) It was a server error on nofeehost which lead to some default 'buy me' page being displayed for all accounts
Whatever it is, it hasn't got anything to do with the stuff I uploaded last night. Here's to hoping nofeehost continues providing a reliable service.

i wonder what happened
Hmm... that's a total of around 2 hours between your post and Haplo's. But it could have been there for a while. Yet again, since this is only a few hours, I would say that it is most probably a nofeehost server error. If it happened for days on end, I would say that nofeehost didn't pay it's bills. Should that happen, I would have to go hunting for another provider.

That it did - updated it last night. Apparently, I uploaded the wrong thing before that - which was why no results were returned. But yeah, a bugfix and new feature added at the same time.
I might see if I can tab in the new checkbox a bit. Also I'll see if I can do the greyed-out thing for that. Still need to check out the data feeds I get from myjavaserver (such as HS results). I'll do that some time soon. Too tired right now.

RE: NightWind's Card Searcher
I also had the same thing as Haplo last night. To explain it, it had I think a book in it's picture in the center of the page and different links or something. Kind of like, when you go to a website, it doesn't exist, but still has a page (but the page has nothing to do what you're looking for). Don't know if that makes any sense though.

RE: NightWind's Card Searcher
I think I may know what you're talking about. It seems more and more like the entire nofeehost site went down because it wasn't paid for by its owners.
Web hosting is in some cases similar to pyramid selling in that you can buy a site and some disk space, divide it up then sell it to everyone for a profit. From there, it could be that your users can further divide and sell off that disk space. I don't know if nofeehost is under that scheme, but ripway is.

RE: NightWind's Card Searcher
HS results are now once again returned. Previously, myjavaserver.com was bogged down with requests from it's hosting accounts that it simply kneeled over and refused to answer to any requests. Thus, the HS feeds weren't being returned and worser still, it caused my own searcher results to stop working. I should probably add some timeout sort of thing to those particular calls...
Let me know if anything weird is going on...

RE: NightWind's Card Searcher
One thing I noticed just now when I looked up Jack 'O' All Trades, it shows it's still in my store while I took it out this morning (or maybe yesterday). I checked my own person store just to make sure, and it is confirmed. I'm thinking it might be because of the server update the other day, but I don't know for sure.
Another thing I noticed concerning HS (I noticed this on prankster tanuki), it showed up as Holiday Spirit had zero, while Wrench VCH on the other hand didn't even show any HS result.

I'm not too sure about this actually. Can anyone give more insight into how the personal store text feed is updated?

For the Prankster Tanuki, yeah - it's showing up as 0 on the HS page.
Though I'll need to look into the Wrench VCH bit. I may have an idea of how to fix it. Will update when it's fixed. Thanks for letting me know. ^_^

RE: NightWind's Card Searcher
I thought it updated in real-time, but I'd noticed from your searcher that it hadn't been recently. Maybe there's some sort of problem there because of the server move?

RE: NightWind's Card Searcher
Ah yes. Currently still pointing to cmc.mrx.ca instead cardmasterconflict.com
Going to upload the fix for this, hopefully won't stuff up other things...
Edit:
And updated.

RE: NightWind's Card Searcher
I've updated my card searcher to include the newest balances (21/09/2008). The way I'm doing this sort of adds extra quotes to some of the card names and card text, so I wrote a script to remove the extra quotes. If there's anything amiss with the text, please let me know.

RE: NightWind's Card Searcher
With the cmc server move to cardmasterconflict.com, the wiki pages have also been affected - which means that my card searcher is no longer returning HS results. I can't change the url in the code because it is hosted on myjavaserver and I can't make any changes because they have no disk space left. Grr.
My options now are to find a new java server and upload the code. But then I don't even have the orginal java code anymore - just the class files which won't even work on many other java servers.
Another option is to rewrite that whole module in languages other than jsp or java. As far as I know, asp and php web hosts by default won't let you open up and get the source code of any other web pages.
I'm going to look around for another java server first.
Feh.

RE: NightWind's Card Searcher
Update: HS results are now being returned. Interestingly, I'm now doing this via asp on the nofeehost server and not jsp. But this method didn't work in my previous attempts... Anyways, I'm going to work on the bug that Jessica mentioned here.
Merge post:
Fixed the HS bug mentioned above.

RE: NightWind's Card Searcher
Something I've been noticing for the past however long (it's been at least a week, I know that much).
WE ARE HERE!#Fallen Paladin#***32704***
In that search, I was looking for Fallen Paladin, but I've been noticing that comes up for every card that I searched. And if I search multiple cards at once, I get one each of those for each card returned in the search.

RE: NightWind's Card Searcher
"Buy from public stores" on the buttons should be "Buy from personal stores". Gives it a whole different meaning (I only just tried it today, but went to check it on a Mana Bucket first just to make sure it wasn't really public stores).

RE: NightWind's Card Searcher
Card searcher has been updated so that the wiki links point to the new server. Also the newest donation card Friends like These have been added to the database.
Edit: noticed quotation marks missing from cards like NPC. I will be looking into this the next time I do a update. Seems it's an unwanted side effect with the extra double quotes removal script I wrote.

RE: NightWind's Card Searcher
Card searcher has been updated to include this year's Halloween cards Wherewolf? and Therewolf!.
I currently don't have the time to write the quote script. The least of my worries.
