Pokémon

The whole IVs thing makes sense without knowing what they are - just by noticing that some pokémon of the same level start out with different stats.

EVs kinda works too - it's common knowledge that raised pokémon are stronger than those caught at a high level. This just explains it (also explains that pokémon caught at a high level can actually catch up).

It's not a matter of making sense, it's that the concepts aren't as easy as I have 5 HP oh no died. The games themselves state that Pokemon that are raised by trainers are stronger, but there is nothing in the Games that teach you how EV's/IV's work. EVs and IVs were found out, I don't know, probably by hacking the game.
Maybe the players guide has something about it, maybe, I really doubt this though. I'll look into it though, I haven't looked a at PG since RSE.

I was trying to get a Modest. I was using the Everstone and everything. The last 7 all happened to be Modest. Everything beforehand is a mess.

See, to keep computer space free, I release anything that doesn't have the proper nature from breeding... Unless it's another good nature for the pokémon that comes out, I generally won't be able to trade it away. I usually only keep the ones that had the nature I want but didn't have the right IV's, since I can usually trade those.

I've gotten all Pokemon except Arceus (duh), Togetic, and Magmortar (which is an easy get from PBR), so nearly got my dex complete. I don't know if I can do the Master Contest and expect to win yet- my appeal is always a lot less than others for the dress-up. 'cause I don't cheat, you understand.

i'm so confused. does the underground randomly run out of digging spaces? because i just checked the entire fucking map and couldn't find a single golden twinkle.

It's been forever since I've done it, but I do remember it being whimsical and arbitrary with that. I can't recall whether I semi-worked out a pattern to its respawns and how to get them or not, but I do remember having that problem.

Leaving the underground and coming back always did it for me.

i did that. a lot. it's still broken by the way. i don't know what i did to make it angry at me....

And I'll need to check whether my Pokémon Diamond version is NTSC though, as I've got the slot machines and haven't seen those changes.

I think it has to do with one ( or a few if not all) of the countries in the EU having some restrictions on gambling in games, especially something that will be given to kids.

Yup, my Pokémon Diamond is a US copy. Crazy European bastards... I'm all for laws and stuff, but not when it impedes on gaming!
