From the title and the screenshot I thought it would be obvious, sorry

I cast a spell
I expected to resolve the spell and then all unique monsters would die
Instead the monsters all died as soon as the spell was cast

Maybe this is how the card should correctly work but to me that just seems off somehow because you're able to cast spells and then have them fail if you don't meet certain costs or whatever
And if a spell fails to actually go off it seems like the monsters shouldn't die
