On failure, it doesn't dizzy. Of course, you could just add (Failure: Dizzies).

Yes, but does it really matter if dead monsters are dizzy or not? I mean if the 'destroyed' is before the ':' it doesn't really matter if there's a dizzy...

This way, it dizzies when it destroys itself.
Yeah, I don't see the difference either.
Perhaps: " ![[Image: abilitypointer.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/abilitypointer.gif) ![[Image: abilitydizzy.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/abilitydizzy.gif) : Destroy Amorphous Fleshling and add attack and life to target Fleshling".

That would be better, that way it wouldnt just end it mysteriously dying if its ability was countered
Afterall its just fusing with other globs of fleshling, it should dissapear if it doesnt make a big pile of fleshling

Thanks or that - yes, the whole point was to replace the colon with the word "and". So that it didn't destroy itself.
I shall do that presently.
And add Glowly Slime to the mix. Seen some good ideas in XO's post but have zero time for readin atm, so that will come later.

RE: The Balance Saga: The Fall '05 Chapter
Allright! Taking some of the more consented cunderpowered cards from Xypherous-Oxide's thread and putting them here, but using my own balance ethos of only minor changes.
Added:
Ressurection - Boost from ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) 4 to ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) 3.
Chook Xao - Boost from 20/40 to 20/45
Clash Karashi - Boost from 25/45 to 25/50
Garshask - Boost from 55/35 to 55/40
Almost Added:
Tome of Protection - Does it want to be ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) 6 to cast, no maintenance or ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) 9 sac?
Red/Green Sprite - Some consensus on what change would be deemed necessary in X-O's thread first.
Skeletal Warrior - Nobody's against the boosting, but few people have suggested it.
Fairy Peacekeeper - A bit more backing for a boost, and would reduction in ability cost to ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) 7 suit?
Anyways! More replies here please! Either if you're against a change to one currently listed as consented, or give a yes/no opinion on the rest. Because we've made a good amount of progress so far, it'd be good to keep it up.

RE: The Balance Saga: The Fall '05 Chapter
Hehe. I was the only one who actually mentioned a 55/40 Garshask, but noone disagreed. :)
Anyway, I think Tome of Protection would be fine with no maintenance (going with small changes). Aggression can keep it.
I like reduced stats / 4 ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) for Sprites.
Skeletal Warrior could perhaps use 55/35 - old Garshak stats, going with -5 on uniques. Also, it could just get another sac. I would like to maybe wait for Mechanical Mayhem, in which we might finally get some skeleton / horror synergy.
Peacekeeper is fine as is. Only used if you have board control anyway.

RE: The Balance Saga: The Fall '05 Chapter
You might not like this idea but what is B32M's attack was:
2^X, where X is 3 + opponents attack/10.
He would therefore always do at least 8 damage and his power would increase exponetially (which is cool). His mana cost would have to be raised by a lot although.

Yeah, whatever you do, don't block a direct-attacking B32M with a Skeletal Abomination. :) (~4000 overflow damage)

RE: The Balance Saga: The Fall '05 Chapter
I HAVE A CRAZY IDEA FOR RESSURRECTION!
Card advantage is important right? And currently ressurection just takes this card and replaces it with a monster card in your graveyard for 4 ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) right? BUT WHAT IF...Now stay with me, STAY WITH ME DARN IT! NO! DO NOT HEAD TOWARDS THE LIGHT! NURSE STAT..what if ressurection brought 2 monster cards from your graveyard to your hand?

RE: The Balance Saga: The Fall '05 Chapter
O.o Well then make it like 5 ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) ?
EDIT: I also suggested add cantrip (draw a card), but somehow it died from the post. -_-

RE: The Balance Saga: The Fall '05 Chapter
Oooorrrr.... we could make it draw a card as a side effect. You know, so Webby doesn't have to code up dual-targeting.
Besides, I don't think people's issue is with losing card advantage, since you don't, really. It's that you're paying extra for a creature, when in theory you could have just put another copy of the creature in your deck instead of the Ressurection (aside: I'm also in favor of fixing the spelling). So all it gets you is the flexibility of bringing back any of the various creatures of yours that may have died up to this point, at a cost of (currently) ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) 3 above and beyond casting cost.

RE: The Balance Saga: The Fall '05 Chapter
But duel targeting could be the way of the future! Imagine, snipers like Ardam that can target 2 different monsters with one ability! Well VCH Ardam could stand for the upgrade anyway. We only have either "target one monster" or "hit all monsters".

RE: The Balance Saga: The Fall '05 Chapter
Heck, even targeting one and random on the other (if any... only 1 monster in graveyard shouldn't cause it to fail). Yeah, I like the idea of those cards granting card advantage. It makes them actually useful....

RE: The Balance Saga: The Fall '05 Chapter
The multitargetting would be an excellent idea, and is quite possibly "the future of cmc", but of course we usually just throw such ideas to the side. We don't want to (try to) pressure 'runner into making the new systems HERE NOW.
But the +random idea would work quite well in my opinion, but at ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) 5 at minimum. It would also become powerful enough to warrant a speed reduction to -A- or -B- I think.

RE: The Balance Saga: The Fall '05 Chapter
So what's the consensus? Something crazy for 5 ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) or just a ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) cost reduction? I favor the last, myself.
And what's the consensus on Marcus?

RE: The Balance Saga: The Fall '05 Chapter
I'd rather just do the cost decrease, personally. I mean, really...
"Kelar General, fallen in battle! I call you back to the realm of the living!"
"Mind if my buddy tags along?"
"Wh- b- ... Sure... I... guess..."
I suppose the alternative scenario would be:
"Kelar General, fallen in battle! I call you back to the realm of the living! But bring a buddy! The journey from the Netherworld is a perilous one!"

For a literary example, I'll point out that Odysseus couldn't call out just 1 spirit, he had several come with the one he wanted.

RE: The Balance Saga: The Fall '05 Chapter
Or, if you really want to solve it thematically, say you're punching a hole in the veil between earth and the there after. While you're calling one specific being into your service, you have no control who else might just happen to be floating by and see a way to resurrect themself (though under your service, as the case may be.)
