A Letter To Dargon and anyone else who doesn't get the geeky references:

"Pining the fjords" is a famous line off one of monty python's most famous sketches, The Dead Parrot Sketch.
In this sketch, John Cleese was fooled into buying a dead and stuffed parrot, this was apparently achieved by nailing the taxidermied parrot's feet to the little swing thing on the cage, and saying the lie that the parrot's lack of movement was to it 'having a good squawk last night', or something to that effect.
The parrot is then taken out, as cleese makes the point blunter than the bluntiest thing that's ever blunt in the history of blunt things. and basically whacks the parrot on the table, because the shopkeeper said it was sleeping.
Cleese described the parrot as "pining the fjords." and also "an EX-parrot."

Therefore, when shaventalz said Argent was pining the fjords, he meant that Argent was dead.

The 3d4 reference is to Roleplaying, perhaps D&D in particular.
Some people wouldn't know this, but there are more than just a six sided dice, perhaps the most... valued of all dices are the 20 sided dice.

Now. in d&d and many other roleplaying games, instead of typing or saying 20 sided dice or 6 sided dice, or 4 sided dice, etc etc, they shorten it to d20/d6/d4.
When needing to roll said dice several times, they put the number of the many times they need to roll in front of it.
so if you have to roll the 6 sided dice twice, they would shorten it to "roll 2d6" or "roll two-d-sixes"

Therefore, E-mouse was telling you to roll three four sided dice, add them up together, and watch monty python for that long. if you don't have a four sided dice, i rolled 3:3:3. you would've had to watch monty python for 9 hours.

Actually, it was the shopkeeper that said the parrot (a Norwegian Blue) was "pining for the fjords." And if they hadn't nailed it to its perch, it'd be pushing up the daisies. And if you don't have a d4, just use an RNG for 3-12.

Actually, a random number linearly chosen between 3 and 12 would have a different distribution than a 3d4.

You could however simulate a d4 with a coin. Flip it twice.
HH=1
HT=2
TH=3
TT=4
Repeat the process another twice, and add up the totals from each pair of results. Voila! Instant 3d4. Except for the bit where it takes ages.

I saw a deck of cards where each card was one possible result from a pair of six sided dice.

I also have a 2D6 and a 2D10 (yes, the singulars there are correct)

Oh, right. Tyler Perry is a playwrite who's most famous character is a cantankerous Southern elderly lady named Madea, who has an opinion about everything, and she's not afraid to tell it to you! And, if you should happen to disagree, she'll just pick up her purse, which has more firearms in it than most armies have. The kicker is, Tyler, who's a six' something" man, plays the role of Madea. You can probably find the plays on DVD at your local movie store. If not, or if stage plays aren't your thing, try out one of the movies "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" and/or "Madea's Family Reunion". They're part comedy, part drama, part ... something else. Tyler's work is hard to quantify...

Okay, now the comic. I love how Lumi's titles stretch past the comic borders. For someone who came into the game really late and didn't do a whole lot, plotwise, she sure did make up for it in her epilogue!
My question is, how did she and Karn ever have any relationship if they're doing so much away from each other? Or...are they doing it all away from each other?

Well, if you recall, their relationship took off in the April Fool's ending....which makes me think that they didn't hit it off....after all, Karn's epilogue didn't include her at all.

actually Lumi was tallking to Karns mother (not remembering her name), about having a crush on him (and that was before the fake ending)

but Im still not supporting this (alltrough it doesnt make me want to vomit like Miroku/Sango, cursing mrs. Takahashi for that)

and yes, I think Lumi is leading a really good life (not being a shopkeeper, wattermelon or avenging your race)

Actually the majority of the Karma Sutra is about the rules of getting a wife, how to treat her, etc etc... there's really only 1 chapter in the Karma Sutra about sex! And even then it's mostly stuff most people already know... A bit of a let down really...

According to the wiki, it's one of seven parts, not chapters. It gives the chapters within that part as being:

Chapter One: Stimulation of Erotic Desire
Chapter Two: Embraces
Chapter Three: Petting and Caresses
Chapter Four: The Art of Scratching
Chapter Five: Biting
Chapter Six: On Copulation and Special Tastes
Chapter Seven: Blows and Sighs
Chapter Eight: Virile Behavior in Women
Chapter Nine: Superior Coition or Fellation
Chapter Ten: Preludes and Conclusions to the Game of Love

Some of the other chapters do also deal with sexually related themes, even if they don't cover any forms of intercourse.

And anyway, predictable endings would be boring.

Because the only two Holy elemental shotguns available have a low ATP of 19 and 56 - Aside from the legendary Lex Talionis, but it deals damage based on HP lost, which wouldn't be of too much help to someone that specialises in healing magic.
