Fixed.

You were using a very biased argument there. I JUST built a Mage Nog deck and it's not broken in the slightest. I even used the strategies mentioned in this very thread. It wasn't broken. I used Goblin. Still not broken. All you've done is say, "Mage Nog does what it was designed to do. Other cards can't do that. Mage Nog must be broken".

RE: nerf Magenog
The Nog is fine. It needs no nerfing. It's not as gamebreaking as soulsphere, and has a slightly higher converted mana cost. No change.

RE: nerf Magenog
You just compared 2 completely unrelated cards...

No strong opinion (I just pointed out that a cost boost had been moderately accepted in the past) but i do like the "reduce life to 3" change.

I'm a little in favor of "reduce life to 3" thing myself now too. It'll stop being broken with Lifebar too.

RE: nerf Magenog
Just to reiterate, since "reduce to 3" has enjoyed a resurgence, I'd recommend reducing the cost to 2/2/2 in conjunction with this change. Since it's not entirely clear it's even broken now, we could hopefully get rid of the most distasteful abuses without making it substantially weaker.

I can agree with that.

Agree with 2/2/2 if we change the ability.

I still think it's fine and that we should leave it alone.

I'm changing my vote to this.

RE: nerf Magenog
I still say it's fine as is. I really don't like making it reduce life to 3, but if that change is agreed up, then any cost decrease is welcome.

RE: nerf Magenog
I still vote for no change, but my preferred balance if one occurs would be the reduce to 3 + cost drop.

I'd be fine with that too.

Maybe bringing up in-game examples you've been in would help? I'm not saying my experience overrides yours, I'm saying you haven't been posting your experience on why the situations posted aren't as bad as I and the other pro-nerf people thought. Without actual examples of when you've seen them overcome I'm not likely to be convinced since I don't know your experiences, I only know mine.

Especially if damage spells are involved, since that's one of the primary areas where I think it should be changed via a speed nerf, which you haven't addressed much.

Like Noodle, I'm strongly of the opinion that it's fine as-is, but that this change would also be fine. I prefer no change.

RE: nerf Magenog
For god sake, it's fine as is.

If you make it not boost it back up to 3, one of the main uses (Goblin) will be pointless, and probably some others will be too.

RE: nerf Magenog
Oh yes, heaven forbid you have to use Equip Armor like back in the old days.

Also "main use"? I'm fairly certain the "main use" is keeping just about any monster it targets alive regardless of what its ability is.
If you want your precious Goblin abuse combo, there's always Gauntlet of Shielding.

That probably sounded meaner than intended, but people complaining that niche uses are main uses is a button for me.

Out of my experiance, I've only seen it used with Goblin & Military Machine, so...

I could be wrong, but Military Machine and Mage Nog just sounds like a really bad use...

I've seen it used with a lot more. Melrak Followers for instance.

That's what I always thought. I dunno why people thought it was a good combo.

*shrugs*

Might have been with Laser Surgeon or whatever it's called.

I honestly can't remember the exact combo.
