Stealing Drecker's Thunder

He has a really cool ability and some decent stats. However, he seems way overcosted. Here, I think the abiliy warrents quicker playing so a cheaper cost seems like a much better boost over more stats. He also has no special abilities to get through blockers, so that limits his ability somewhat too. Since you guys like incrementalism, I prospose [Image: lmana.gif]8, however I don't think [Image: lmana.gif]7 would be unbalanced.

You are completely right, he's WAY over costed.

While I'm generally one to go for incremental balance, I'm voting for a straight two cost reduction to 7. In this case, I don't think 6 would be bad, but changing it to 8 wouldn't do jack shit so I'm settling for 7.

He was actually pretty good a while ago, I used to use him quite a bit in my Light decks.

I think it might have been the introduction of Data Hack that reduced his appeal and usefulness.

Not sure that he really warrants a 2 cost decrease myself, but whatever.

Card theft is nothing to sneeze at, and he can survive a hit from a 6-cost beatstick, but his stats are closer to a 4-mana unique...

Mmm, 7[Image: lmana.gif]/8[Image: lmana.gif] would probably be fine. I think he could use a cost drop, but to 8 probably wouldn't be enough; lowering his sac a little would make up the difference. He's brutal if you're already established or currently have the upper hand, but that's tough enough to earn on its own.

1 Slime Valley will make his card stealing useless. If carryover damage counted I could see your point Mus but this is limited card theft, not Data Hack level reliability.

EDIT: Response to "Card theft is nothing to sneeze at", I couldn't care less if his sac was -3 his cost.

Blue, while Slime Valley is a (very) good card, not all decks have reliable mass defender generation, and having to choose between "getting hit for (big#)+1/2(20)" or "getting hit for only 20+1/2(big#) and losing a card" can be a tough choice if you don't have like three of them in play anyway. One-for-one gloops will slow him down, but if you're using him alone you're in (big) trouble anyway.

I'd count the votes. I probably wouldn't post the counts (they'd be messy Excel spreadsheet affairs), but I would count them.
