Broken Slimes
ok first off
if you don't kill it on the turn its played its not likely that you'll get it off the field except with mass destruction (FoH, Stun Grenade, ect)
the most damaging thing about this card (besides the splitting ability) is its ability to bring its attack back to 15 after its reduced
so lets say you're getting pummeled by a field full of ooze but you somehow manage to take them all out through a mix of spells and monsters
your mana is likely low or depleted
your monsters are probably near death if you even have any left
next turn your opponent just drops another one for 3 ![[Image: gmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/gmana.gif) and the nightmare starts again
now thats just ooze on its own
add in cards like bakuga cannon, accelerator, and undizziers and it becomes hell
i'd suggest reducing either its attack or life by 5
though my preferred nerf would be to make the copied ooze dizzy lock...but i think that stems more from my hatred of ooze and slimes in general then any reasonable need for such a nerf (i'd gladly agree to it though!)
i probably haven't stated my case very well but i really hope theres someone out there that is better at explaining things then i am that agrees
now on to the other troublemaker
i actually haven't played against a starslime deck in months but i remember how troublesome it was
this guy can easily keep you locked down for an entire game
my biggest issue with it is the A speed
i mean really...for something that doesn't dizzy with use that seems too good
its not incredibly hard to get the mana needed to keep an entire field locked down with this
and once its set up there isn't much you can do
we all know anyone playing a starslime deck has enough counter spells to cover it from the most common destruction and damage spells
all i'm really asking for here is a nerf to B speed
though if that seems to excessive i could settle for a cost increase of 1

RE: Broken Slimes
Ooze is fine, we hurt it enough with the 75% attack when splitting.
Starslime, if anything, is underpowered.

Ooze is'nt that hard to deal with Slime vally is more of an annoyance in my mind and Starslime is extremely weak without alot of support.

RE: Broken Slimes
I agree that Ooze is fine; just mentioned a way to nerf it if everyone thought so. Which apparently they don't.

RE: Broken Slimes
Ooze is fine, in my opinion. It's a strong card, certainly, but once your opponent starts playing large monsters, either you have to start playing large monsters of your own (reducing Ooze's effectiveness, as it's at its best when you can devote all your slots to Oozes) or you're forced to start taking damage from direct attacks while you try and deal with your opponent and their monsters 15 damage at a time. Bakuga Cannon can help there, but it's an expensive effect. Expensive effects should be strong; they cost more than the cards that destroy them.

It's not incredibly hard to generate 10 ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) 10 ![[Image: gmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/gmana.gif) every turn? Can...can I buy your generators? They must be amazing. Seriously, the 2 ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) 2 ![[Image: gmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/gmana.gif) cost adds up pretty quickly. It's fine as is.

RE: Broken Slimes
A turn 2 Ooze is worth a lot more than the ![[Image: gmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/gmana.gif) 3 it costs.
By, say, turn 6 onwards? Too late, you either maintain control (and don't have enough slots to make use of it), or you lose it instantly. By this point you want to be protecting Mind Burrowers or Dethstrik Suiciders, not Oozes
I reckon neither needs a nerf, but neither neither needs a boost either.

RE: Broken Slimes
Ooze is incredibly powerful if you get it out turn 2-3 but mid to late game is almost useless. I know from a 18 card Joey Slime Fan deck how powerful they can be when abused. Despite that though, I can't really see any nerf more major than causing Ooze to die if it tries to divide at 1 life; and given the last thread Ooze was in that won't be happening.
I still like 22/22 stats for Starslime.

RE: Broken Slimes
I think Ooze could probably use a slight nerf. It's only 15 attack points weaker than a normal three costing monster and mid-late game, any of your three costers will be vulnerable. I think its ability is worth slightly more than the 15 attack you pay for it. I like the idea of making Ooze get destroyed if it divides at one life, since it would only really hurt Ooze if it's done way more than the average three mana monster should be able to.
Starslime is fine.

RE: Broken Slimes
I've used Ooze a lot, and they're good, but not great. They're very easy to nullify past turn 4 or 5, and global damagers are a LOT more common now than they were in the days of Principalities. Also, they become only useful for defense very quickly if you play any sort of "opponent attacking creatures take X damage" card, giving you control over what they can damage and when. They're good for the cost, but not broken, and have their own weaknesses compared to other creatures of the same cost. Only 15 attack means needing several of them to take out a larger creature, and usually gives your opponent plenty of opportunity to sacrifice them before the final blow. Also, any sort of ability creature can keep them under control very effectively.
Starslime could use a very tiny stat boost to have a remote chance to stay alive, if anything. The activation cost for its ability is huge.

They're fine. Starslime can be pretty overpowering actually, with an undizzier and some dual mana.
