Atomic Energy (+1 grey sac?)
Well, this was crazyoverpowered back whiles ago, back when it has ![[Image: dmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/dmana.gif) 2 ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) 2 sac (dual sac Skull/Orb). But since, I've never seen it once, and never thought to use it once myself either.
I reckon that increasing the ![[Image: dmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/dmana.gif) or ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) sac would be the wrong way to go (plus it'd unbalance it), so might it be worth adding ![[Image: gmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/gmana.gif) 1 sac to it?
Just a thought.

RE: Atomic Energy (+1 grey sac?)
while i wouldn't be against that i don't really think it would help...
i'm really not sure what could be done with this
giving it back it's original sac isn't the way to go but it kind of really sucks now (in my opinion anyway)
would it be too much to ask for some sort of small on destruction ability?

Well, y'know, yeah it would. The whole "let's not add new abilities to cards" thing

RE: Atomic Energy (+1 grey sac?)

RE: Atomic Energy (+1 grey sac?)
I use it in a Ship theme deck as a way to quickly start generating among Clockworks and Nuclear Plants. It works nicely in that regard and in my opinion it's a shame there isn't an Atomic Energy for the other colors as it really gives a needed kick for decks that use the 2/2 Power generators instead of Batteries.
I also use them in a Star Egg theme deck as a way to fuel the Star Eggs without needing to use up precious Effect slots on Batteries for Clockworks.
With that experience in mind, probably the greatest drawback is how it eats all your ![[Image: gmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/gmana.gif) splash mana to do the same thing as a Stellar Clockwork. It does have uses that Stellar Clockwork doesn't have as explained above, but they're pretty niche.
I don't think adding ![[Image: gmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/gmana.gif) to the sac would break the card or make it a play-and-sac anymore than it still somewhat is, but I don't really see it helping all that much either.
Certainly wouldn't be against it but I don't see it doing much for the card.

RE: Atomic Energy (+1 grey sac?)
I've seen them used with Moon Fountains to get duel gray generators and it worked pretty well. I think they're fine. Or at least, if there is a problem, one extra sac isn't going to fix it.

Well, if you reckon that they're useable, and indeed used, then I guess there's no need for any change then. It was just I hadn't seen them used once since their last balance.

I wouldn't be against an extra grey sac, but it sounds like it's pretty solid anyways.

RE: Atomic Energy (+1 grey sac?)
I use it in a particular Dark/Light deck (manabase is Atomic Energy, Nova Crystals, and Shadow Cores) and it actually works quite well - gives a nice bit of speed for playing generators. The lack of grey does hurt, but that's a deckbuilding challenge - and I don't think giving the card grey sac would help it at all.

Sounds like it's being used just fine as is. No need for a change.

RE: Atomic Energy (+1 grey sac?)
I think that's an unncessary change. This card is meant to be used in a W/D deck as a means of getting faster mana, not much more, which is what I think it should be for. Giving it a ![[Image: gmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/gmana.gif) sac really seems against the purpose of the card.

I don't think we need to do anything to make it better or worse. It's fine as-is.

RE: Atomic Energy (+1 grey sac?)
Tally
Add to sac:
Fine as is: Shadowhunter, bubbleman2, Ultros, Kennisiou, sXeAndriex
Not shown are 5 "I wouldn't be against a boost but this one doesn't really do anything" for simplicity and because none of those comments proposed something else (except vaguely by NOLDER). I won't bother to comment other than the card sees play so the reason proposed for boosting is moot. Cased Closed.

It's okay for something that only nets 1 mana.
