RE: Gildward The Swift!
The same stats as a ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) 1 card, with (Speed Summon) instead of a different minor ability, and hero type?
No, we won't be doing that any time soon.

8/12 may even be a bit much, in fact. 7/12 or 6/12 would probably not be bad fits, either.

RE: Gildward The Swift!
If we're giving him 1 ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) sac, I'd be fine with 5/15. If not, I'd prefer 8/12.

Kennisiou makes a good point (even though Gloops do require Slime Valley), I be fine with 8/12 stats in addition to the sac boost.

RE: Gildward The Swift & Chookie The Bold!
Balancing Chookie against Gloop because of the zero cost makes as much sense as comparing to Poseidon. It's a token-only card; it doesn't count.

I know, it was more, "I can mass-create 5/10 gloops for 3 mana and an effect slot but I have to spend a whole card every time I want a Chookie".

Which (to me) is still only as good a comparison as, say, comparing a single Force Field to a Mental Fog each turn.

Masa, stop now. Seriously, this is one of the rare(hah) times I'm going to say you're being an idiot in the balance forums.
Mental Fog is a spell, you require multiple spells to keep bringing it out. Gloops can be produced each turn with slime valley. You're bad at this comparing stuff, aren't you?

RE: Gildward The Swift & Chookie The Bold!
Noodle pretty much got it. How is my comparison bad? I'm saying 3 mana and an effect slot is a small price to pay to save tens of cards. I don't get how that constitutes a bad comparison.

Bubbleman's making a comparison between a card you play once for repeated use and a card you have to play repeatedly for repeated use.
I'm making a comparison between a card you play once for repeated use and a card you have to play repeatedly for repeated use.
I don't see what the problem is.
Edit: Bubbleman's comparison is bad because the cards in question are completely different. My comparison was meant to be equally bad. It's not meant to be a good comparison.

RE: Gildward The Swift & Chookie The Bold!
Oh okay, I can see that. However, they're both pretty much just ONE CARD EACH. You'll have to keep on casting Mental Fogs just like you'll have to keep on playing Force Field when your Force Field dies. If Chookie dies, if you want another you'll have to keep on playing them. Where as if a gloop dies, you just use the ability of a card you can keep in play until it's destroyed or you sacrifice it.

RE: Gildward The Swift & Chookie The Bold!
The cards in question are very similar in my opinion. They both essentially give you one or more 5/10 monsters with one sac and speed summon. Forcefield is not nearly as reusable as Slime Valley, you can maybe get three blocks in before it dies if you're lucky and your oponent isn't flanking. Also, forcefield doesn't have spell immune or fleeting, costs more, is not a spell, has less life, and does not have any sort of surprise value. It's entirely different from Fog of Confusion. Chookie and Gloop, not so much.

RE: Gildward The Swift & Chookie The Bold!
Eh, Force Field dying won't happen that often (though it's pretty likely to happen). Just like Slime Valley getting hit with effect destruction
But yeah, I think the point I actually wanted to make was that you'd be pretty retarded to want to play a Chookie every turn (and of course the same with Mental Fog).

and this is a good example of why Chookie should be better than Gloops.

RE: Gildward The Swift & Chookie The Bold!
Either way you're spending a ton less for one-usage. Personally I'd like WarClash Chookie with a very small stat boost (8/13 maybe) and ![[Image: lmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/lmana.gif) sac, or at least one of the two. Gildward can have the crappy stats since he's going to be a nightmare to get rid of; Chookie only has low-cost surprise value on his side.

That was my point too masa...that's why I want them to be better than Gloops.
Edit: Now I'm going to build a deck with 30 Chookies and nothing else.

I think masa does want a boost for Chookie, just not to the point of making him basically a Fairy at 10/15. <_<

RE: Gildward The Swift & Chookie The Bold!
You can't play a Gloop on turn 1 at no cost, attack with it, then sac it on turn 2.
Heck, you can't play a Gloop from hand, period. It's a token from a ![[Image: gmana.gif]](http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/masamunemaniac/signature/gmana.gif) 3 effect.
But that said, yeah, I could see a boost to Chookie. I just think the reasoning used has been terrible.
