Burning Bad!

It probably should have "and vice versa" in as well - I'd need to find the quote to check (though it's implied imo anyway).

Though yeah, it's already random, ergo that doesn't apply.

Bumping this because the discussion is dead and wondering if this is actually going to get anywhere.

I still like masa's suggestion of "Deal damage when fading, and change damage to a Foom-like range around 10: 7-13 would average 10 damage on the dot." Since it sets it apart from poison, while still making it useful.

I would just like to point out that any discussion about whether or not it fits the codex is moot. Mouse gave the suggestions for the changes, and being a person of power, he is right. Now be quiet and vote so my kitsune can stop sucking to bad.

Just because he has power doesn't always mean he's right. He is in this case, but that's a pretty dangerous line of thought.

Web's the ultimate power, and the only person who has the official say in anything as far as the cards go. A mod's opinion is just as valuable as anyone else's when it comes to balancing.

That doesn't mean jack shit, darling. He's just another person and can be just as wrong as anyone else can. And of course, it is the responsibility of those participants of the balance forum to be harsher to anyone in power at all times, as a mess up by one of us is minor comparative to someone who has more pull. Just like Masa, just like Ultros, just like anyone.

In this case, of course, I find Mus to be completely and absolutely right in pretty much everything he said int he formation of this thread (which is pretty rare for anyone, actually) but saying he's right because he's in power is fool-hardy and as wrong as a human being could get. Even web isn't right because of that, he just has the right to design his game as he sees fit. "Power" is meaningless other than a reason to be more suspicious, and more critical of those who wield it. Keeps em honest.

Now that we've all told line that mods aren't gods, can we get back to boosting Burn?

I dunno, I kinda like remove of fade on burn. I guess, since that's not exactly winning, I'll note my preference for damage on fade and increased range.
