These numbers would seem fine to me if it wasn't for the fact that I'm generally still getting to kill TWO monsters (or at least really hurt the second one), or to hit the monster with a Landing/Furnace/BoS/whatever.

10x without the cardgive/discard/etc really isn't all too different to its previous incarnation; possibly better with lower cost monsters being played more frequently than higher cost monsters.

And really, it'll either be broken vs mono/good vs multi, or good vs mono/only halfdecent vs multi. There's no good vs mono/good vs multi.

Though I'm pretty sure your idea of good vs mono/only halfdecent vs multi is still broken to me.

Actually, that's a good point. On the defense phase, stealing it would prevent the combat damage it'd do, plus let you use that to defend against another monster attacking directly (of your choice!) or use it as a target for a your-monsters-only ability/spell (or use its ability if you can meet the required conditions/mana and your opponent can't, though this is rarer). Oh, and it lets you prevent a direct attack on one of your monsters if they desperately need to be defended (though this is a noticeably worse use unless combined with one of the others, at which point it's silly).

This lets you steal creatures with E speed abilities and use them for their ability, steal creatures to attack with AND prevent their next attack AND prevent them from being sacced next turn, lets you circumvent a defender (and often use them to attack for something like twice as much direct-attack damage to your opponent that turn) plus the option for half of the advantages of defense-phase use (defender but can be targeted, can't prevent creature direct attack... unless the stolen monster would have been the one to attack).

No, equal to beatstick attack is much too low a cutoff. 1.2x would still be low. 1.3x to 1.5x might be more appropriate. Depending on where the efficient mana-cost cutoff point would be, life/mana multiplier would be...

45*1.5 = 67.5, /5 = 13.5
45*1.3 = 58.5, /5 = 11.7

53*1.5 = 79.5, /6 = 13.25
53*1.3 = 68.9, /6 = ~11.48

Yeah, 12x sounds like a good minimum. Higher might be even wiser.

Though card loss still should be kept for flavor. 10x with some sort of discard might be reasonable.

And no, we're not going to throw a shitstorm over "halfdecent vs. multi."

I'm not quite certain if it is needed, but Vote: Boost just in case.
A mixture of what Squirm has been arguing for the reasoning and the fact that the more arguments I see, the more I begin to realize that the opposition's viewpoints seem less like justifiably hesitant and more akin to unfair bias against the card.

No offense sXe but... I present everyone with the swing vote. Not that you will always be the swing in every situation and im just trying to make a point there is a swing vote. There would be no point in arguing if there wasnt a swing vote.

I don't think you understand what a swing vote is Uber. It's, more or less, an unpredictable vote that greatly effects the outcome of an election. Andriex's vote, as he pointed out, doesn't even matter. He's no more of a swing vote than me or you.

Also, is a swing vote... bad? I'm very, very happy to be one. I do it on purpose, as I try to shuck myself of my bias before reading the arguments of others (not always successfully.)

I also don't have to pay 50 life and a card give them a card for it, when I'm about to steal it permanently anyways.

Giving them a card really sucks when you end up losing a nice utility, a counterspell especially.

Or I could steal what they have now, attack them with it before they play the next thing to come along, and then perhaps kill the next thing to come along with what they have now. This way I don't run the risk of my mind burrower then being countered by my own counterspell.
